HAPPY YOU’RE BACK
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang proved to be the match-winner, as Arsenal ended a run of three defeats to record their first victory in the Premier League.
The Gabon striker’s goal in the 66th minute was enough to beat Norwich 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
And afterwards, Aubameyang praised the fans who he admitted were missed when clubs were forced to play in empty stadiums during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“We’ve needed the fans for a long time,” he said.
“Personally I’m just happy that they are here… when you’re a player, it gives you energy, a lot of energy.”
FANCY PAT
Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker posted an exasperated tweet after Arsenal hero Patrick Vieira inflicted Spurs' first defeat of the season.
The Gunners legend sealed his first win as Crystal Palace boss with a 3-0 victory at Selhurst Park and the Match of the Day host did not seem too pleased.
Spurs' Japhet Tanganga was sent off for a second yellow card on the hour mark which was the turning point.
Wilfried Zaha made it 1-0 from the spot on 76 minutes after Ben Davies was judged to have handled the ball in the box.
And new signing Odsonne Edouard came off the bench for a perfect debut and scored twice inside the last ten minutes to seal the win.
Tottenham - who were top of the table before kick-off - were poor.
And Lineker was quick to point to Vieira's Arsenal connection when commenting on the result after the game.
The 60-year-old wrote: "Patrick Vieira getting one over on Spurs. Been a while since that happened."
HEADING HOME
Former Arsenal centre-back David Luiz has signed for Flamengo on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old left the Gunners after his deal expired in June and has now linked up with the Brazilian giants.
Luiz has signed a contract until December 2022. He will wear the No 23.
Flamengo tweeted: “Born in Diadema, he traveled the world and got used to winning, winning and winning, just like our anthem says.
“The people cried out, the heart shook and now he will wear red and black.
“Biggest fans in the world.
“@DavidLuiz_4 is the new player of Mengão! Welcome! #DavidLuizNoMengo.”
LACA INTEREST
Alexandre Lacazette is happy to leave Arsenal on a free transfer and let his contract run down, according to journalist Duncan Castles.
The Gunners were desperate to cash in on the Frenchman, but couldn't find a suitable deal for the former Lyon forward.
Now, they reportedly face losing him for nothing next summer.
“Arsenal were very keen to sell the player, but they couldn’t find a suitor who would provide them with enough cash to do the deal and convince Lacazette to move," Castles said.
"He has one year left on his contract, and we understand he’s happy to run that down and leave as a free agent in one year’s time."
AUBA AND OUT
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed the relief around the dressing room after Arsenal secured their first win of the season in the Premier League.
The Gunners squeezed past Norwich 1-0 on Saturday, with the Gabon striker netting the winner.
Afterwards, Aubameyang took to Instagram to reveal what the victory meant.
"For some people it’s only 3 points - for us it means a bit more," he wrote.
"When we loose as players we are the first to be sad and touched inside.
"We are human beings which is why you can now see the happiness in the pictures - and now we need to keep going and keep this happiness💪🏾 thanks to all the fans today, you gave us the extra push! 🙏🏾"
BACK TO BRAZIL

ART OF GOALKEEPING
Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Aaron Ramsdale after the £24million shotstopper made his debut for Arsenal.
The ex-Sheffield United keeper kept a clean sheet and was solid between the sticks for the Gunners.
Arteta said after the game: "I think he was terrific. It is not only what he did on the technical side, it is what he transmits, his energy, his chemistry with the backline, how he reacts, his body language… I think it was top.
"We have two fantastic goalkeepers and never forgot what Bernd has done for us and what a good goalkeeper he is.
"I had to make decisions and I felt Aaron was the right one to do so and like in any other position, and that is what we decided today."
PERRY GOOD
Former Arsenal star Perry Groves believes the Gunners 1-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday takes the pressure off the boss "temporarily".
Mikel Arteta's side managed to end a run of three straight defeats by edging past the Canaries thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 66th minute winner.
And the talkSPORT presenter believes Arsenal deserved their win and can now use it to kickstart their season.
Groves said: "This was a game that Arsenal just needed to win to give themselves a building block. They probably just shaded it on chances created in the second-half.
"Mikel Arteta will be pleased his captain and goalscorer has scored. It just takes the pressure off, just temporarily."
MONSTER MONSTER
Former England goalie Ben Foster is tipping Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale to have a brilliant career.
Ramsdale, a £24million signing from Sheffield United, made his debut for the Gunners in a 1-0 win over Norwich and impressed by keeping a clean sheet.
And Foster believes he's going to be a "serious monster in goal" in years to come.
"I’ve played against this guy, Aaron Ramsdale, a good few times," he told Premier League Productions.
"The guy seriously impresses me every time he plays. He’s got a little bit of that mentality where he doesn’t care.
"Nothing fazes him and nothing bothers him, and he’s going to go on to be a serious monster in goal."
PAT ON THE BACK
While Arsenal's first team were labouring to a 1-0 win over Norwich, the youth team put Manchester United to the sword.
The Gunners' U23's beat their Red Devils counterparts 3-1 in a thrilling Premier League 2 game.
Two goals by Folarin Balogun and a late strike by Charlie Patino were enough to defeat their rivals.
But it was Patino, 17, who ran the show in the comprehensive win.
He added gloss to his performance with a deft chip over Dean Henderson and provided several moments that would've excited fans.
Boss Mikel Arteta has already included the teenager in his first team training, but is yet to hand him a chance yet.
But that could all change after his latest swashbuckling display.

TAKE ON ME
Takehiro Tomiyasu made his debut for Arsenal against Norwich in the Gunners' 1-0 win.
And the Japan international, 22, impressed with a solid display as his side kept a clean sheet.
The defender was quick to thank fans for their support after the game.
“It was a special day for me. I was happy to play front of amazing Arsenal supporters in Emirates Stadium," he wrote on Instagram.
"Thank you for your big support. I’ll keep on working to be better!!!"
MIDFIELD GENERALS
Albert Sambi Lokonga and Thomas Partey both returned to the Arsenal team today.
Lokonga started, despite returning from international duty with a tight hamstring.
While Partey was still stepping up his recovery after a knee injury sustained during preseason.
But neither are shrinking violets, according to boss Mikel Arteta.
With the chips down, both were determined to play some part in a must-win game against Norwich.
"That’s one of the reasons why I tell you how much these boys want to do it," Arteta revealed post match.
"No one is hiding. In difficult moments they just want to put their bodies on the line.
"These two are a good example."
FANS' JOY
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero as Arsenal beat Norwich 1-0.
The Gabon striker was the difference in the 66th minute, and helped end the Gunners' run of three straight defeats in the Premier League.
And the Gooners made sure their hero was given a proper send off as he left the Emirates.
Many sang his name as he drove his Lamborghini Urus out the stadium. And Aubameyang obliged by stopping for a few to sign some autographs and take pics.
HIRO STATUS
Takehiro Tomiyasu made his Arsenal debut against Norwich as the Gunners ran out 1-0 winners.
And although the £20million defender was substituted in the second half, he'd done enough to impress boss Mikel Arteta.
"Really positive," the Spaniard revealed.
"The first impression when you meet him is joy, happiness and energy. He was cramping, he had to travel, and we had to take him off."
The Japan international, 22, will be hoping to continue to impress with the Gunners taking on Burnley next weekend.
GOOD START
Although it took Arsenal 66 minutes to break down Norwich to earn a 1-0 win and break a three-game losing streak, boss Mikel Arteta was pleased with his side's start.
The Spaniard understood it was a must-win game, and was impressed with the intensity in which the Gunners began the contest.
"Emotionally it was a very tough game to play, after the 3 defeats, playing here in front of your crowd," he said.
"It was a must-win game and I saw [us] straight away come out of the blocks really quickly, really aggressively, wanting to score and please everybody"
SOLID DEBUT
Aaron Ramsdale replaced Bernd Leno between the sticks against Norwich today.
And although he wasn’t called into action too often, what he did he did it in an assured fashion.
First Prem appearance, first clean sheet.
ARTETA: IT'S THE BEST 2 WEEKS OF MY CAREER
Mikel Arteta was overjoyed with Arsenal beating Norwich to earn their first points of the season and claimed: "It's been the best 10 or 14 days in my professional career."
The Gunners' boss believes he has learnt so much from "suffering" and the "complications" of launching the season with three straight Prem losses.
He told BBC Sport: "We are really happy. We knew it was a really tricky game and we got what we wanted which was to win and get points on the table.

"After three defeats things get complicated. I must say it has been the best 10 or 14 days in my professional career. Not the easiest, but the best.
"In difficult moments when you see the people and the level of organisation and the fans we have. They were ready to suffer today but they just give, give, give to the team. Today and the last week everything glided together.
"We have to improve in a lot of things but today we made seven changes and already it looked different."
AUBAMEYANG: PRIDE RESTORED
Match-winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was relieved as much as delighted by Arsenal's first points of the season.
After sinking Norwich 1-0 he told BBC Sport: "I'm just really happy.
"It was tough weeks so we had to make sure we won this game in front of our fans.
"The most important thing today was to play with pride and that's what we did."
