Jack Grealish’s girlfriend Sasha Attwood reveals their ritual of burning sage to banish ‘bad vibes’

JACK Grealish is on fire for England and Manchester City - thanks to the ritual of burning sage to banish bad energy.
The ancient Native American practise rids homes of negative thoughts and feelings left by householders and visitors.
And burning the fragrant herbs - called smudging - also empowers new purchases or possessions like sofas, beds or even a pair of football boots.
The spiritual custom is said to have practical benefits too, like keeping infections, bacteria and fungus away from the home.
Jack lives in Manchester with model girlfriend Sasha Attwood since his £100m move from Aston Villa.
Stunning model Sasha shared a video online and told her 37,000 subscribers: "This is my sage by the way. It's not weird. It's to get rid of all bad vibes."
The couple are said to be great believers in alternative remedies and practices like sage burning and crystal healing.
A source added: “Sasha is very much into the alternative, complementary and holistic remedies and loves to burn sage about the place.
“She’s always got a bundle of the stuff around the house though she jokes it looks like a giant cannabis joint.
“She wants Jack and her to inhabit a calm and safe space that is not occupied by negative energy from outside and sage burning is a way for them to exorcise their home of bad vibes.”
Sasha and Jack have been dating on-and-off since meeting as teens in Solihull, West Midlands.
Online clothes giant BooHoo has just handed her a major deal to promote the fashion brand after it signed up Jack, 26, in June.
The Sun this month hailed the couple as 'Sash and Jacks', revealing how they have everything to become as big as the Beckhams.
Floppy-haired Jack has a huge following on and off the pitch and his cool £100m summer transfer made him the most expensive English player ever.
In August we told how Sasha was sent 200 death threats a day during the Euros via TikTok and Instagram. Sasha revealed: “They said, ‘I hope you get cancer and die’ or ‘I hope your whole family dies’.
“They say, ‘I hope the next time you’re in the car you crash it and die, I hope after Wembley you die’.”
She has built up a loyal online following with fans tuning in to her down-to-earth 'vlog' entries where she cooks, runs a bath, undergoes facials, makes coffee, and feeds sprats to her adorable cockapoo Skye.
But the couple are hoping burning the £6-a-bundle sage - also a tactic of the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians - can bring inner-peace.
And website Very Well Mind said: “Sage has a long history of use in Egyptian, Roman, and Greek medicine, as well as in Native American healing traditions.
“Dried sage is burned as a way to heal, protect, increase wisdom, and boost defence against disease.
“Poor air quality may be linked to various health conditions. In this way, burning sage is seen as a cost-effective way to help purify the air.
“This is because sage is thought to have antimicrobial properties that help kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
“Some practitioners of alternative medicine believe that burning sage, or taking it internally, can help release negative energy.
“In addition to burning sage, some people use sage cleansing sprays in their homes. Benefits of burning sage are believed to include: Removing bacteria from the air, repelling insects, improving intuition, purifying specific objects and improving mood and reducing stress and anxiety.”
