MATT HARDY has claimed that brother Jeff snubbed WWE’s Hall of Fame offer after being released.
The 44-year-old was reportedly dismissed in December he refused the company's help and offer of going to rehab.
Jeff Hardy was sent home from the WWE's tour after he suddenly left the ring and walked out through the crowd during an un-televised show in Texas.
And with fans concerned for his well-being, Matt reassured viewers in a separate Twitch video that his brother was fine.
Now Matt, who reiterated that Jeff ‘passed every drug test he’s had’ during his most-recent WWE run, has shed further light on the situation.
And the now All Elite Wrestling star claims that Vince McMahon’s WWE wanted Jeff to make a Royal Rumble comeback and even dangled the carrot of a Hall of Fame induction to try and make it happen.
However, Jeff refused as chiefs said that his elder sibling would not be able to attend.
Speaking on , Matt said: “Jeff asked: ‘So you want to induct me into the Hall of Fame?’

“And he said, 'Well let me ask you, I know you guys have spoke to AEW, is this going to be the Hardy Boyz? Is this myself and my brother Matt?
"And they go, 'Oh, no, no, no, no. We can't get Matt, he's under contract at AEW. You know, it would just be you'.
“And Jeff said, 'Well, that's a hard no'. He definitely stood up for the team of the Hardy Boyz.”
Jeff, a former WWE and world heavyweight champion, has been arrested in the past for alcohol and drug-related offences.
He is reportedly under a 90-day non-compete clause that means he officially becomes a free agent on March 9.
But before that date he is not allowed to compete in the ring.
