Police investigating after three Bayern Munich stars receive death threats in sick anonymous letter

POLICE are investigating death threats against three Bayern Munich superstars.
Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer and Serge Gnabry were reportedly targeted in an anonymous letter sent to German second-flight club St Pauli.
named the trio as the big names mentioned in the highly-abusive message.
The letter reportedly said: “Save the league, save the sport of football. Fire and death to the dirty Bayern pigs.”
A police spokesman responded: "We are investigating on suspicion of threats and disturbing the public peace by threatening to commit a crime."
St Pauli are said to have turned the note over to police after receiving it on January 12.
Bayern are yet to comment on the matter.

But the mystery exchanges are thought to have been about nothing more than possible new tactics.
