GREAT BRITAIN's women's team have WON curling gold at the Winter Olympics in stunning fashion.
Led by skip Eve Muirhead, GB absolutely dominated Japan in the final to win 10-3 and secure Britain's first curling gold in 20 YEARS since Rhona Martin in 2002.
But it was heartbreak for Bruce Mouat's men's side earlier this weekend when they lost to Sweden 5-4 after a dramatic extra-end.

Mouat's flag holding honour
Team GB's curling star Bruce Mouat will carry the British flag at the Closing Ceremony in Beijing, it's been revealed.
The Brit will spoke of his joy of being handed the opportunity to present the British flag despite leaving China with a silver medal.
He said: "It is a massive honour to be invited to carry the flag at the Closing Ceremony.
"While we, as a team, didn't get the colour of medal we wanted, that apart I don’t think I could have taken more from this first Olympic experience, having been involved in competition from two days before the Opening Ceremony and all the way through to the final weekend."
Unforgettable win for Team GB
Team GB skipper Eve Muirhead expressed her delight after winning gold with her curling cronies at the Olympics.
Speaking to the BBC after their win, the elated Scot beamed: "It is a dream come true for myself, and for the rest of the girls.
"The journey to get here, I think it shows how strong we are.
"We have so many people to thank.
"It is something we'll never forget."
Sturgeon's praise
Scotland's first minister Nicola Sturgeon has heaped praise on Muirhead and her team after they cruised to gold at the Olympics.
Sturgeon responded to a tweet from Muirhead reflecting on her team's success in Beijing by congratulating her fellow Scot.
Royal joy at gold
The Royal family expressed her delight after Team GB's women's curling team won gold at the Olympics.
Team captain Eve Muirhead received a special shoutout from the monarchs whose Twitter account beamed praise for the newly-crowned Brits.
Vicky Wright: It doesn't feel real
Third for GB, and more importantly NHS frontline hero for her day job, Vicky Wright said: "It doesn't feel real.
"We have all had amazing support, we cannot thank our friends and family enough for everything they have done, everyone who has been behind us to make this dream become real."

Winning skip Eve Muirhead said after finally winning gold in her fourth Olympics: "It's a dream come true. "
She told BBC Sport: "That was my third semi-final, and the two I lost were hard but I bounced back and here we are. We are Olympic champions.
"It's such a special moment."
Jen Dodds so proud
Second Jen Dodds told BBC Sport: "I don't think it's going to sink in for a while.
"I'm speechless.
"I'm so proud of these girls and the way they played in that final and the whole week.
"We built on every game, we got more confidence every game. Hopefully that was slightly less stressful that the semi-final for all our families."

Eve Muirhead won Team GB's first and only gold medal of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as they swept to curling glory.
On the day before the 20-year anniversary of Rhona Martin’s famous heroics at Salt Lake City, Team Muirhead wrote their own name into the sporting record books.
The all-Scottish quartet of Muirhead, Vicky Wright, Jennifer Dodds and Hailey Duff were in dominant form as they crushed Japan 10-3 at the Beijing Ice Cube.
When it was over, the tears flowed and the team celebrated wildly in a group hug.
