Arsenal joined by Newcastle in Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer race with Eddie Howe to make bid for Everton striker
NEWCASTLE are planning a summer transfer for Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports.
Calvert-Lewin has struggled for form in an injury-hit campaign, scoring three times.

But he has been a long-term target for Newcastle with Toon desperate to sign a striker when the window opens.
Newcastle have been linked with several names but Calvert-Lewin is their priority, report .
The Magpies reportedly believe the England star would be open to a move to St James' Park.
The striker may be keen to make a fresh start after a difficult season at Everton.

But the Toffees could refuse to sell even though Calvert-Lewin has sat on the bench for the last few weeks.
Newcastle want to strengthen their attack and 25-year-old Calvert-Lewin fits their transfer strategy of signing younger players who can make an immediate impact.
Toon are said to be closing in on another target who ticks those boxes - Reims forward Hugo Ekitike.
Newcastle side tried to sign the youngster in January but a £29million move collapsed on deadline day.

Eddie Howe has a number of attacking targets in mind including Benfica hitman Darwin Nunez and Brentford's Ivan Toney, who was sold by Newcastle in 2018.
Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah is also of interest and could be snapped up on a free transfer if he rejects a reported new deal offered by the Gunners.
Calvert-Lewin has also been linked with a £50m move to Arsenal as the North Londoners search for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's replacement.
