The 33-year-old has turned down a new contract at Bayern, and has reportedly already agreed a three-year contract with the Spanish giants.

Speaking to Sky Germany at the Monaco Grand Prix, he said: "The time will come to give information.

"Soon it will be possible to say more."

This cryptic answer might indicate the move is close to formal completion.

The Polish international has one year left on his current deal with Bayern, meaning they would lose him for free if they didn't sell him this summer - a fee of £34million is expected to be enough to complete the transfer.

Lewandowski's goal record is more than impressive, scoring 344 goals in 374 games for the Bavarians. This season alone he has scored 50 goals, including 35 in the Bundesliga and 13 in the Champions League.

While Bayern may be about to lose their main talisman, they are already taking steps to ensure they lose no firepower this summer - with a move for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane reportedly on the cards.

Mane struck a downcast figure during Liverpool's trophy parade for the FA and Carabao Cup on Sunday - no doubt still reeling from their 1-0 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid the day before.

Reports have indicated the 30-year-old is ready to quit Liverpool this summer, with Bayern the frontrunners for his signature as his Liverpool contract enters its final year.

Mane himself has a very impressive goal record coming from the flanks thanks in large part to the nature of Jurgen Klopp's system which allows wide players to drift inside.

He has hit the back of the net 120 times for The Reds, chipping in with a further 48 assists in 269 appearances.

The Senegal forward has won six major trophies while at Liverpool, including the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup - even becoming an AFCON winner for the first time this winter.

Mane provided his own cryptic answer to speculation on his future, saying he was preparing a "special" announcement after the Madrid game.

Ultimately, this has been sidelined for a little while due to the nature of the result, but confirmation on his future should soon be public knowledge.
