Man Utd ‘trying to hijack’ Tyrell Malacia’s transfer to Lyon and star has same agent as Frenkie de Jong

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly “trying to hijack” Tyrell Malacia’s move to Lyon.
Erik ten Hag has been linked with a swoop for the Feyenoord left-back, 22, for several weeks.
However, it seemed that he was set to miss out on the Dutch international after he had agreed to join Lyon for £13million.
The Ligue 1 side have agreed a fee with Feyenoord and looked certain to complete the deal for the star, who shares an agent with fellow United target Frenkie De Jong, over the coming days.
Now that switch has been cast into doubt after transfer guru claimed that United had come in at the 11th hour to try and sign him.
He states that negotiations between the Red Devils and Feyenoord are underway and that now the defender could be heading to Old Trafford.

And his representative, Ali Dursun, could be a popular man with United chiefs over the coming weeks as the Premier League side try to secure two of his top clients.
Malacia is still under contract for another two years at the Eredivisie outfit and has been a regular in the starting XI for the past two campaigns.
United boss Ten Hag knows him well from his time in charge of Ajax and appears keen on bringing him to England with him.
And the player himself has even hinted that he could be on the move this summer.

Now it remains to be seen whether Malacia will go-ahead with his move to Lyon or if United can persuade him to head to Manchester instead.
And he could be joined by his compatriot De Jong after it was claimed that United had agreed a £74m fee with Barcelona.
