Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio misses wrestling event after being STABBED causing horror injuries
The Mexican who was released from his WWE contract last month was due to make an appearance on the independent circuit

FORMER WWE World Champion Alberto Del Rio is in a stable condition after being STABBED before he was due to fight.
The Mexican legend who was released by the WWE last month, suffered laceration to his arm and other parts of his body.
A four-time World champion in wrestling's premier competition, Del Rio (real name Jose Alberto Rodriguez) won the WWE Championship and WWE World Heavyweight Championships twice, as well as being a two-time WWE United States Champion.
The 39-year-old was scheduled to appear for his 'Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA)' match on Sunday, but ended up fighting for his life, rather than in the ring.
Considered as one of his country's finest wrestlers, Del Rio posted a statement on his Instagram account.
Now fighting under the name 'Alberto el Patron,' he is expected to make a full recovery and amazingly claims he will appear in the UK next weekend ready to wrestle.
AAA issued a statement prior to the news breaking about his health, saying: "We regret the lack of commitment of Alberto, as he fails the Mexican public that has supported him throughout his career, to turn it into one of the leading figures of wrestling in Mexico and internationally.
They later said that they "deeply regretted" the attack.
