It’s shame, set and match for brat Nick Kyrgios who faces a ban from tennis after his latest shameful antics

SUPERBRAT Nick Kyrgios faces a ban from tennis after his latest shameful antics.

The fiery Aussie was involved in disgraceful outbursts at fans and the umpire as he tanked his Shanghai Masters second-round clash in just 48 minutes against German Mischa Zverev.

Krygios was booed by fans after his petulant 6-3 6-1 KO — and the world No 14 received a stinging rebuke from umpire Ali Nili after one pitiful serve.

Nili warned him: “Nick, you can’t play like that. It’s just not professional.”

But Kyrgios, 21, later replied: “Can you call time, so I can finish this match and go home?”

He continued to give points away so blatantly he was heckled by a fan, who said, “Respect the game, respect the people.”

But Kyrgios fumed: “You wanna come here and play? Sit down, shut up and watch.”

And he was at his obnoxious worst when asked if he understood why fans booed him off.

Kyrgios said: “I don’t owe them anything. It’s my choice. If you don’t like it, I didn’t ask you to come and watch. Just leave.

“If you’re so good at giving advice and so good at tennis, why aren’t you as good as me? Why aren’t you on the tour? It doesn’t affect how I sleep at night.”

Kyrgios, who was given a suspended 28-day ban last year for outrageous on-court taunting of Stan Wawrinka, may now be kicked off the tour for the rest of 2016.

He will definitely be fined after receiving a warning for an audible obscenity.

An ATP spokesman told SunSport: “The ATP supervisors are reviewing the entirety of today’s match, before determining any breaches of the ATP code of conduct and any associated penalties.”

Even Andy Murray, one of Kyrgios’ biggest defenders, had little sympathy.

The British No 1, who beat American Steve Johnson 6-3 6-2 to set up a third-round clash with Frenchman Lucas Pouille today, said: “Nick will be disappointed to perform like that.

“That’s your job as a professional, to give your best effort.”

Kyrgios later tweeted: “I can go on about excuses but there are none. Sorry.”

Rafael Nadal lost 6-3 7-6 to Viktor Troicki and Wawrinka beat British No 2 Kyle Edmund 6-3 6-3.
