Video: Usain Bolt tries to prove he has the X Factor in brand new music clip… and sensationally fails

USAIN BOLT appears to be gearing up for a career in music once he hangs up his running shoes.

The Olympic sprint legend posted a cheesy clip to Instagram in which he is filmed singing a not-so-humble song called 'Gifted'.

Bolt, 30, captioned the post: "Gold. Gold. Gold. Platinum."

The song has been heavily laced in auto-tune and is - understandably - centred around running.

In one line he boasts: "I'm so gifted," as he finishes the melody with his infamous lightning bolt pose.

The Jamaican ace is dressed in a red leather jacket and white tee as he is filmed in a recording studio surrounded by a keyboard player, drummer and gorgeous back-up dancers.

Bolt announced his retirement from the Olympics after completing an incredible Triple-Triple at Rio 2016.

He said: “I’ve worked hard every Olympics to win three gold medals.

“I’ve proven to the world I am the greatest. I am just happy I’ve accomplished so much and I’m relieved.

"I’ll miss the crowds, the energy and the competition. It has been a great career.”

Maybe, if his new project is in music, he would be better off prolonging his track career.
