SEVERAL of Europe's top clubs are queuing up to sign Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae.

While a move to Manchester United looked all but sealed just a week ago, they're now no longer the favourites with to wrap up that signature.

The betting firm had United as the 8/11 favourites just a few days ago but they've moved now out to 11/4.

That's because Bayern Munich have entered the race and shot to the front of the queue to sign the £55million-rated defender from the Italian champions.

With Lucas Hernandez seemingly on the move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, Bayern have reportedly targeted Min-jae as his immediate replacement.

Min-jae has quickly established himself as one of the top central defenders in Italy after arriving from Fenerbahce for £15million last summer.

He replaced Chelsea's Kalidou Koulibaly in the heart of Napoli's defence, and helped guide the club to their first Serie A title since 1990.

The South Korea international, who's been dubbed The Monster, is contracted until June 2025 with the option to extend by a further two years.

Betfair odds

  • Bayern Munich 8/11
  • Man Utd 11/4
  • PSG 5/1
  • Newcastle 15/2
  • Liverpool 25/1
  • Man City 40/1
  • Barcelona 66/1

And it was reported at the end of the season that the 26-year-old does fancy a move to England.

While further reports claimed he'd already said his goodbyes to his Napoli team mates amid mounting speculation on a move to Old Trafford.

But those appear to be wide of the mark currently with the news Bayern have entered the race and lead the cluster of top clubs courting him.

PSG are third best at 5/1 behind Munich and United, though that Hernandez deal could be their man priority.

Newcastle were as big as 14/1 at the beginning of the month and are now in the reckoning somewhat at 15/2.

Liverpool (25/1), Manchester City (40/1) and Barcelona (66/1) round off the betting.
