Man Utd takeover hopeful Sheikh Jassim ‘to offer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer job’ if his bid is successful

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER will be offered the opportunity to return to Manchester United, according to reports.
However, this will only be if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's takeover bid for the club is successful.

Sheikh Jassim had reportedly won the race to buy the Red Devils, but these claims were rubbished by sources close to the bid.
He has since been called Nine Two UK Holdings amid the talks.
As reported in May, if his bid is successful the Qatari banker will look to offer club legends a position in the club's hierarchy.
And former boss Solskjaer, who was sacked in November 2021, has hinted at a comeback "in some capacity", while the have suggested he may be on Sheikh Jassim's list of legends.

However, this would not be as a manager due to the club's happiness with the performance of Erik ten Hag, who guided the club back to the Champions League.
Speaking at an event last month, the Norwegian said: "I’ve got another job in me, if it’s the right chance and exciting enough.
"There are so many clubs, but I’m not going to work just for the sake of working.
"It has to be something special, a new culture, or a club that really excites me.

"Or maybe they will want me back at the club [United] in some capacity, who knows?"

Solskjaer more than qualifies as a club legend due to his status as a scorer of 126 goals and the iconic winner for the 1999 Treble.
The likes of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes could also be offered the role.
