Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan leaves Lowry in £250,000 Lamborghini… and did he give boss Jose Mourinho a lift?

Armenian international left Lowry Hotel for United training early on Monday morning in a flashy Lamborghini Aventador

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN has every right to show a bit of swagger after scoring twice in two games for Man United.

And now the Armenian has turned up for training in a car befitting his recent performances.

Mkhitaryan was seen leaving the Lowry Hotel in a flashy new Lamborghini Aventador, which retails for around £250,000 on the open market.

The upmarket establishment is also home to Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba for the time being, and the United boss could also be seen making his way to training in the morning darkness.

But it isn't known whether Mkhitaryan was kind enough to give the boss who had frozen him out for three months a lift to raining.

Mourinho's patient approach with the midfielder seemed to be rewarded yesterday when he capped off a good performance to score the only goal of the game against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

However, United fans were left to sweat on the former Dortmund man's fitness as he left the field on a stretcher with five minutes remaining after a tough tackle from Danny Rose.

But Mourinho confirmed the injury is not as bad as first feared and said he hoped to have the playmaker back for Boxing Day.

Ahead of United's game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, the Special One said: "It looks like it is nothing dangerous or needing surgery so hopefully we will have him back on Boxing Day.

"It depends always of the player - anatomy, physiology, mentality - but hopefully it is not a big thing."

United also had Mkhitaryan to thank as they qualified for the Europa League knockout stages with a 2-0 win at Zorya Luhansk.

The Armenian captain nutmegged a defender and produced a stunning solo goal to open the scoring against the Ukrainians.

But the Red Devils may face a tougher test in the next round as they have been drawn against French side Saint Etienne.

The tie could be an emotional one for Paul Pogba as he could play against his older brother Florentin, who is a defender at the club.

Old Trafford will host the first leg on February 16 before the sides meet a week later for the second leg at Saint Etienne's intimidating Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
