She played a pivotal role in the Lioness' journey to the World Cup final, where she saved a penalty in the defeat to Spain.

Earps, 30, is one of the most popular England Women's players ever and picked up the gong for the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year last month.

The Manchester United Women's star also picked up the Fifa Best Women's goalkeeper award this year.

So she could have a packed trophy cabinet if she wins Sport's Personality of the Year - though has to fight off big competition.

Golf superstar Rory McIlroy is also nominated for the award after helping Team Europe regain the Ryder Cup in September.

He also came so close to winning his first major since 2014 after finishing second at the US Open, losing out to Wyndham Clark by just one shot.
