The birth of Ivy Jane meant the 23-year-old missed his side's FA Cup third round clash with Aston Villa, though fans will let him off after they cruised to an easy 2-0 victory.

It caps off an incredible campaign for the lethal marksman, as he has already bagged in ten Premier League goals in 15 games, as Spurs sit third in the table.

Tottenham tweeted their congratulations to the England international after goals from Ben Davies and Heung-min Son in the second-half ensured their passage into the fourth round.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino said: "From here and on behalf of all my staff, the club and the team we want to congratulate Kate first of all before Harry!

"It's a beautiful girl and I'm happy because Kate and Harry are really good."

He also added: "The plan was for Harry to be on the bench today but he was at hospital all night waiting for the baby to arrive and he looked terrible.

“I think he was more tired than his partner so we sent him home to sleep and then he put the news on Twitter.

Pochettino will hope to have his main-man back in the line-up against West Brom on the weekend as Vincent Janssen continues to struggle in front of goal.

The Dutch forward has only managed a measly three goals in 23 appearances, with all of them coming from the penalty spot.

The Tottenham manager said: “It’s true that Janssen is struggling a bit but it is difficult for any striker when he doesn’t get space.

“He is young and he has come from a different league so he needs to adapt, to work hard and not get frustrated.

Spurs sit just seven points behind leaders Chelsea in the table after their 2-0 win over the Blues last Wednesday.
