ARSENAL cult hero Nicklas Bendtner looked barely recognisable as he enjoyed a holiday in Thailand with his partner.

Bendtner, 36, and partner Sus looked to be enjoying a surf bar on the Thai coast.

Bendtner's locks looked longer than ever as he embraced his surfer side on holiday.

The former Gunner has also added extensively to his tattoo collection since he was playing in the Premier League.

He posed alongside his partner Sus, who is a Danish actress.

She wore a yellow bikini as she also rode around on a jet ski as part of the idyllic holiday.

Bendtner retired in January 2020, last playing for FC Copenhagen.

He admitted in a Danish interview that he had regretted his retirement, as well as some parts of his career.

The striker was infamous for his party boy lifestyle, on-pitch bust-ups and outrageous PR stunts on the pitch.

After scoring a goal for Denmark at Euro 2012, he lifted his shirt to reveal a pair of Paddy Power branded pants.

He was fined £80,000 for the unprecedented stunt.

On regrets from his career, Bendtner said: "For me, football is love. It's the only thing I've really loved doing and it's the only thing that gave me a free space.

"A place where I belonged.

"As soon as I stepped onto the field, all other problems disappeared.

"And in the dressing room, I was just part of something bigger than myself.

"I really liked that. But it is difficult to find in the same way elsewhere."

Bendtner admitted that he took time to find peace within himself.

He said: "I have not deliberately tried to hurt or disappoint anyone.
