Dave Chisnall has secured his 26th PDC title, adding to his impressive career tally of eight European Tour wins and 17 Players Championship titles.
This victory marks his fourth PDC title of the season including another triumph on the European Tour.
The match began with Chris Dobey putting up a fight but Chisnall broke early with a 120 checkout to lead 1-0.
Dobey continued to struggle, allowing Chisnall to hold on double one for a 2-0 lead.
Dobey then hit a smooth 149 on double 16 to hold his throw and reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Chisnall missed a 142 checkout for 3-1 but returned to take the leg after Dobey missed a break opportunity.
Dobey missed a 106 checkout for 3-3 allowing Chisnall another chance, but ‘Hollywood’ Dobey broke back to level.
Chisnall responded by breaking back with a 116 checkout to lead 4-3. He then hit a 66 checkout to hold and extend his lead to 5-3, followed by a 77 checkout for 6-3.
Dobey missed another 106 checkout for 6-4 and Chisnall capitalised by hitting double 20 for a 7-3 lead.
Although Chisnall missed his first match-winning opportunity he eventually sealed the victory with a 76 checkout.
