WWE have made sweeping mass roster cuts with several top stars and a Hall of Famer among those axed.
The popular wrestling brand has parted ways with no less than six big names today.

WWE remains one of the most popular shows on TV and recently completed a stunning move to Netflix in a 10-year deal worth £4BILLION.
However, chiefs including Triple H have been making cuts to their roster for several years now, with aces like Gable Steveson released last year.
And despite WWE’s new-found riches with Netflix, more popular wrestlers have now been forced out.
Cedric Alexander, Blair Davenport, Sonya Deville, Authors of Pain tag team duo Akam and Rezar, and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering have all parted ways with the organisation.

Of those six names, only Alexander and Davenport have so far issued statements confirming their exits.
Former Cruiserweight and Raw Tag Team champ Alexander said: “Thank you for the last 8 ½ years!
“Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise.”
Davenport, who starred on Smackdown after a stint on NXT, broke her silence in a more cryptic way, hinting she is now set to return to wrestling in Japan.

Meanwhile, Deville is yet to comment after only making her return from a torn ACL in May last year.

Authors of Pain duo Akam and Rezar, former NXT Tag Team champs, are also yet to break their silence.
But the biggest name to exit is Hall of Famer Ellering, who managed the Authors of Pain and was best known as the boss of the iconic Road Warriors in the 80s and 90s.
A former wrestler himself, he retired in 1983 due to injuries but became a household name for his antics with the Legion of Doom.
Ellering became manager of the Authors of Pain 2016 and made his Raw debut two years later before moving to SmackDown.
