Match for Hope 2025 LIVE SCORE: KSI x AboFlah win ELEVEN-GOAL THRILLER after late drama in Qatar – latest updates

THE Match for Hope concluded in thrilling fashion in Qatar with ELEVEN goals scored!

Team Chunkz x IShowSpeed lost to Team KSI x AboFlah in the blockbuster charity match, which broke last year's record to raise over $10m to help an estimated 70,000 school children in countries around the world.

Football legends such as Thierry Henry, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro, Del Piero, Andres Iniesta and David Silva featured alongside some of the biggest names on the internet.

But the game got off to a dramatic start when KSI netted an absolutely AWFUL own goal - from a Speed assist.

  • No joke

One of the highlights of the match was an unorthodox left-footed finish from American comedy actor and film producer Adam Waheed.

Waheed, who has more than 55 million followers across his social media platforms, will have lots to offer his fans over the coming days after scoring the winner in this match.

  • Who is behind the match?

Organised by Q Life, the cultural platform under Qatar’s International Media Office, all proceeds raised from the event go to the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), which aims to transform lives through education.

  • Will Speed retire?

The charity match may have raised millions for charity and left fans delighted, one man who certainly did not look happy as the final whistle blew was iShowSpeed.

KSI and others celebrated right in front of him after the result was settled.

He was also being consoled by the likes of Thierry Henry and Alessandro del Piero during the trophy presentation.

The streamer has been a fixture in these type of influencer charity matches in recent years – but that appears to be the problem.

He still has a grand total of ZERO goals in three years worth of matches.

Speed had a couple of half chances to break his duck in this one but never really threatened to score.

It was a big talking point throughout the broadcast about whether he continues playing.

  • Henry rolling back the years

Thierry Henry tried his iconic ‘no-look pass’ in the charity match in Qatar yesterday…

But the pass didn’t quite come off as Alessandro Del Piero wasn’t quite ready for it, with the ball going out for a throw.

  • More than $10m raised for charity

Well, what a night that was in Qatar. Some thrilling football on action with legends rolling back the years and the unlikeliest of sources providing a dramatic winner.

Eman SV2 scored a superb hat-trick but ended up on the losing side in Qatar, with Adam Waheed – who had reportedly never played a full size football match before – scoring a late winner.

Most importantly, of course, the match managed to raise an incredible $10.7MILLION for charity.

  • What happened last year?

Last year’s edition of Match for Hope was filled with goals with team Chunkz emerging 7-5 victors over team Aboflah in a highly entertaining affair.

The sides were managed by Arsene Wenger and Antonio Conte respectively.

The 2024 edition saw the likes of Eden Hazard, Roberto Carlos, Didier Drogba, David Villa and Kaka taking part in the charity event.

Both Didier Drogba and David Villa left with braces and viral moments were created, with IShowSpeed missing an open goal after being squared the ball by Eden Hazard.

  • Star struck

While the likes of Thierry Henry and David Silva showed off their obvious quality, a couple of the celebs stood out with some incredible performances.

Eman SV2 was named man of the match for his hat-trick – which included three very different goals.

His first was a pile-driver from the edge of the box, while for his second he wrapped the ball into the far corner. For the third, he peeled off his defender and slotted home from close-range.

  • No joke

One of the highlights of the match was an unorthodox left-footed finish from American comedy actor and film producer Adam Waheed.

Waheed, who has more than 55 million followers across his social media platforms, will have lots to offer his fans over the coming days after scoring the winner in this match.

  • Next job for Speed?

Thierry Henry tried to console a devastated Speed after the game by offering him the chance to come onto his popular CBS show.

While Speed took up the offer, he was still heartbroken after failing to score in three matches now and contemplating retirement from football.

Henry said: "Are you coming on the show? My boss wants to know."

Speed replied: "Yeah, I'll come on the show."

  • The morning after

Well, what a night that was in Qatar. Some thrilling football on action with legends rolling back the years and the unlikeliest of sources providing a dramatic winner.

  • KSI horror

From the sublime to the ridiculous...

KSI probably won't want us to be sharing this one again, but it was a pretty awful own goal/

  • Thierry rolls back the years

While his trademark no-look pass didn't quite come off, Henry did manage to roll back the years with a brilliant bit of ingenuity to win a penalty.

Inside the opposition box, Henry did a couple of kick-ups before smashing a ball straight at Tobi Brown's arm:

  • Sidemen pending

While there is talk about Speed's retirement, we fully expect him to be around for the next big charity match.

Luckily, fans won't have to wait too long for that one.

Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars is back NEXT MONTH.

Wembley Stadium has been sold out and we are expecting a massive match.

Here's all the details for that one:

  • Will Speed retire?

The charity match may have raised millions for charity and left fans delighted, one man who certainly did not look happy as the final whistle blew was iShowSpeed.

KSI and others celebrated right in front of him after the result was settled.

He was also being consoled by the likes of Thierry Henry and Alessandro del Piero during the trophy presentation.

Speed had a couple of half chances to break his duck in this one but never really threatened to score.

It was a big talking point throughout the broadcast about whether he continues playing.

  • Waheed on top

Adam Waheed was apparently playing in an 11-a-side match for the first time - and promptly came off the hero of the Match for Hope.

The American, a comedy actor and film producer, has more than 55 million followers across his social media platforms.

He'll certainly have lots to offer his fans over the coming days after scoring the winner in this match.

However unorthodox his left-footed finish might have looked.

  • KSI blunder

Although he was one of the winning captains, KSI endured a bit of a horror show.

He started the game at right-back and opened the scoring at the wrong end with one of the worst goals you're ever likely to see.

He then came back on and missed two absolute sitters - although was offside - which were almost carbon copies of the goal he DID score.

At full-time, he said: "I even tried scoring for them, and they still lost!"
