He uploaded a selfie of himself at Zurriola beach in San Sebastian, Spain on Wednesday afternoon.
Martin Zubimendi posted a picture of himself in Spain on Wednesday Exclusive: Arsenal go back for Martinez
Arsenal are being linked with a shock swoop to bring Emi Martinez back to the club, though could face a fight with Manchester United.
The Argentina goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move away from Aston Villa this summer, with Saudi Arabia thought to be his most likely next destination.
Arsenal want to bring back Martinez five years after his initial exit from the Emirates, if they lose David Raya to Real Madrid.
Football Insider, meanwhile, say that Man United would be well-placed to sign Martinez if they sold Andre Onana this summer.
They also credit Chelsea and Atletico Madrid with interest in the World Cup winner.
Two for the price of one
Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has told CasinoHawks, who offer the latest , that Arsenal need to sign ex-Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez.
He said: “If Arsenal want a striker from LaLiga, a Spaniard who comes to mind right now is Perez.
“He left Betis for Villarreal, and he's become desirable for the big teams because he's scored a lot of goals and is playing very well.
“Another name is Alexander Sorloth, at the start of the season I thought he was going to be one of the most important strikers in our league,
“If you dig a little deeper into the search for players who are starting to emerge they're cheaper, so you have to make that decision.
“Emerging players are cheaper, but you need players that can instantly perform in the Premier League.”
Ayoze Perez should be a name on Arsenal's striker shortlist
Alvarez loves Spain
Julian Alvarez's impressive debut season with Atletico Madrid has seen Arsenal and Liverpool take note.
After signing for £80m, the former Man City striker led the line for Atletico, scoring 29 times in all competitions this year.
Alvarez is well versed in the demands of the Premier League but isn't convinced about a return to England.
He said on social media: "The first season at home is coming to an end.
"Thank you for always being there and for making me feel like I belong from day one."
Alvarez is also only one year into a six-year deal with Atletico seeing him as their long-term frontman. Barcelona are also keen.
Gunners tipped for Pedro
Colin Kazim-Richards has urged Arsenal to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton.
He told : “Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Pedro. I think he’s an outstanding prospect.
“I’ve watched him a few times live, once this season at Arsenal. He stood out for me.
“He’s the type of player that I think would fit into Arsenal really well and I think he would give them something different to what they already have. He’s good. He’s top shelf.”

Nico Williams boost
Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams is reportedly house hunting in London.
This comes amid transfer speculation linking Williams with a move to Arsenal this summer.
Reports in Spain suggest the winger has already sounded out property ahead of a blockbuster switch.
The Spain international is high on the Gunners' summer wishlist - especially if they move on from Gabriel Martinelli.
Have a Look
Atalanta star Ademola Lookman has been offered to Arsenal this summer.
Lookman has been a revelation in Italy, amassing 20 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances this season.
According to GiveMeSport, the forward has been offered to the Gunners.
However, the Gunners are also looking at other targets, such as Real Madrid's Rodrygo and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams.
Alexander Isak prediction
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer is convinced Arsenal target Alexander Isak will not leave St James' Park this summer.
Got to keep him and they will, I’m pretty certain of that.
Because of their success this year, because they’ve got Champions League football, all of those things.
There’s not a worry in my mind that he’s going anywhere.
He’ll be a Newcastle player next season because he’s a very, very, very good player.
Alan ShearerStrikers Arsenal are eyeing
Here’s which strikers Arsenal are targeting amid their search for an elite hitman:
- Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting Lisbon)
- Victor Osimhen (Napoli)
- Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig)
- Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)
Henry on Alvarez
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry stated Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez is his favourite striker right now.
One of my favourite nines out there at the minute is Julian Alvarez. And you know, we’ve been talking about it. Putting pressure, playing it long, low, whatever you want to do.
You see the free-kick he scored the other day. He can hold the ball alone. He played at the Olympic Games, he played the Copa America.
I don’t hear him saying I’m tired or not tired. He plays it, hopefully, nothing bad’s gonna happen to him.
He played everything. And the way he plays it, I just like him. But is it possible [for Arsenal]? I don’t know.
Thierry HenryPotential Sesko boost
Arsenal may have received a major boost in their bid to sign RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.
According to , Sesko will be left out of Leipzig's upcoming pre-season tour.
The same report claims the Bundesliga giants would start talks at £59million for the striker.
However, the Gunners may have to splash up to £84m for the Slovenia international.
More on Julian Alvarez
Atletico Madrid are not keen to sell Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer window.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano wrote on that under no circumstances will Atletico want Alvarez to leave this summer.
Romano added there is Premier League interest, but a reluctance to sell from Atleti.
Arsenal are currently keeping tabs on the ex-Manchester City star as they look for an elite striker.
Sterling advised to join rivals
Raheem Sterling has been urged to seek a “fresh challenge” at Fulham by Premier League legend William Gallas.
Sterling is set to return to Chelsea now that his season-long loan at Arsenal has ended.
Gallas told
I think it’s time for a fresh challenge for Sterling.
I think one of Arteta’s biggest mistakes has been a lack of rotation at times because they have picked up injuries.
You have to give players a rest at certain times, but with Sterling, he must be frustrated, maybe he will want to stay in the Premier League and in London.
He’s 30 now, but maybe a club like Fulham could give him that opportunity and more chances to play.
William GallasHenry slams Arteta
Thierry Henry hit out at trophyless Arsenal by comparing them to "the Man Utd that everyone laughs at".
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by , Henry said:
I understand that at the very beginning [for Mikel Arteta] you arrive and it’s not your team, you need at the very least three or four transfer windows to change everything that you want to.
It takes time and you have to give a manager time to be able to implement what he wants to do.
Now, for the last three years Arsenal have been in a situation where they should have at least brought one cup in or a final.
Manchester United have played in five finals in the last five years, the United that everyone laughs at, whereas for Arsenal in the last three years of building, they’ve not reached a final.
So, I do understand when people ask the question, ‘Surely you should compete for a trophy?’
I’m not saying that I’m disappointed with Arsenal, but it’s normal that people are raising questions now about what the team is doing.
Thierry HenryLeroy Sane latest
Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane’s agent Pini Zahavi is in Germany for showdown talks with club officials regarding his client’s future.
According to Sky Sports, Zahavi spoke with Bayern sporting director Max Eberl while his other client Jonathan Tah underwent a medical with the German champions..
The Bavarians remain open to extending Sane’s contract until 2028 – with his current deal running out in June.
The winger, who was linked with Arsenal, had turned down an initial offer of £250,000 per week by Bayern and Tottenham had been offered the chance to bring him back to the Premier League.
The Germany international has yet to make a decision regarding his future.
Julian Alvarez interest
Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer window.
According to , one of the Gunners' preferred options at centre-forward is ex-Manchester City hitman Alvarez.
That effort has seen many top clubs begin to circle the striker, including Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
But the same source claims the North Londoners are "pushing hardest" to convince the Argentina international to jump ship.
However, it won't be easy to get a deal over the line with Atletico thought to be keen to keep hold of their star man and the 25-year-old seemingly happy to stay put too.
Atleti boss Diego Simeone insists the club "need" to keep hold of Alvarez, hinting that the team want to build around the forward to get the best out of him.
Benjamin Sesko statement
RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal as well as rivals Chelsea.
Sesko said he wants to play for a club that can bring the "best" out of him as he weighs up a summer transfer.
The club has given me a lot and continues to give me a lot every day. It's a great club to develop at.
[I want to] Play for a club that suits me, that brings out the best in me. That's the most important thing for me.
I'm currently a player for RB Leipzig, so I'm taking it day by day. If a transfer happens, and if it doesn't, then it doesn't.
Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal’s striker chase
Sky Sports transfer insider Kaveh Solhekol is adamant Arsenal will sign a striker after completing a deal for Martin Zubimendi.
We have heard Mikel Arteta that when Arsenal come calling, players most often say yes. They find it difficult to turn them down. I’m sure he [Martin Zubimendi] has been very impressed by what Mikel Arteta is doing at Arsenal.
Arsenal are pressing ahead with completing a deal. He will become Arsenal’s first signing of the summer.
Not the last. Arsenal will sign a striker this summer. I think they will sign a world-class striker, like Victor Gyokeres from Sporting [Lisbon] or Benajmin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
It will be Zubimendi and a striker, as well as other players. Next season, he [Arteta] wants to win the the title. He has been putting pressure on the board. They will be active in the window.
Kaveh SolhekolGyokeres contract offer
Arsenal have tabled a "formal offer" for Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.
According to Correio da Manha, the Gunners have tabled a bid in the region of £62million for Gyokeres.
The North Londoners are also said to have sent a contract offer to the striker's agent after meeting him at the Women's Champions League final.
A five-year deal with an annual salary of £5.8m has reportedly been tabled for the Sweden international.
Gunners tipped for Sorloth move
Tor Andre Flo has told Arsenal they should consider signing Atletico Madrid star Alexander Sorloth.
He told : “I would like to see Sorloth at one of those big Premier League clubs. The Premier League is where you are tested to your maximum.
“It would be nice to see him in the Premier League. He is doing really well, but as a player he would be more challenged if he played in the Premier League.”
“Any of the big teams would be a good fit, but if he could play for Arsenal it would be good for him. They are looking for a striker and they are a big team.”
Rice backed for England captaincy
Lee Sharpe reckons Declan Rice should be captaining England, let alone Arsenal.
He told : “I’m surprised Declan Rice is not Arsenal’s captain. He leads by example, works his socks off, breaks down defences and scores goals – what more do you want from a captain?
“I don’t see any reason why Rice can’t be England’s captain either. He’s a leader, but he seems to be the sort of person to take the sympathetic approach to other players, rather than singling them out and barking at them, which some players might react to better.
“He’d cover for you if you were in trouble and takes the game by the scruff of the neck. I think Rice is a complete midfielder and could comfortably captain England in the upcoming World Cup.”
