MARCH MADNESS fans criticised CBS for repeatedly focusing their cameras on a UConn star's mother during the loss to Florida.

The Gators beat the reigning men's champions with a score of 77-75 after finding themselves level at 31-31 at the half.

But CBS viewers were left frustrated with the camera constantly showing Uconn star Liam McNeeley's mom, Ashley.

That led to a number of basketball fans taking to social media to complain.

One supporter tweeted: "CBS camera are making it a point to find Liam McNeeley's mom in the stands."

Another commented: 'I'm just happy I don't have to see McNeeley's mom again."

A third wrote: "CBS cameraman is a huge fan of Liam McNeeley's mom.

"She's gotten more airtime than the Gators cheerleaders and the Florida coach."

This fan said: "The infatuation by CBS with Liam McNeeley's mom is far too over the top."

And that one complained: "We do not care about McNeeley's mom, just stop."

Finally this fan stated: "Camera guy is a big fan of Liam McNeeley's mama."

McNeeley, 19, amassed 22 points, including a three-pointer at the buzzer.
