  • Made it Luke easy

Fans gasped “how did that go in?” as darts star Luke Littler netted a penalty during a Sunday League game.

Manchester United fan Littler revealed his dead-ball skills while taking a penalty in a Sunday League game.

He turned out for Winton Wanderers Yanited, an Under-18s side managed by YouTuber and Baller League boss AngryGinge.

And Littler proved he was not feeling any pressure as he stepped up to take a penalty.

The ace first revealed that he is a left-footer, despite throwing darts with his right hand.

But he then impressively scored his spot-kick to the raucous cheers of teammates and the crowd.

The ball did take a bobble on its way past the goalkeeper though - and some fans questioned how Littler had actually managed to find the target.

One said: “How did that go in?”

Another noted: “Love this, his shirt number is 180, what a legend.”

A third asked: “What can’t this lad do?”

And a final user joked: “Are you Gareth Bale in disguise?”

  • Got the hump

Luke Humphries bizarrely stooped to sip water from his glass during his match against Connor Scutt.

The former world champion, 30, was in action at the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen, Germany.

Cool Hand Luke comfortably dispatched of Scutt 6-1 on Saturday.

In addition to his good play, Humphries' strange drinking technique caught fans' eyes.

During the contest, the Berkshire ace seemed determined not to use his hands while sipping his water, bending down to take a drink.

Quizzed about the incident after his win, Humphries said: "Did that get shown on camera? It was… my hands were so sweaty, and I didn't want to touch the glass because it was so, like…"

The world No1 added: "There was so much moisture that I was like, if I pick it up with my hands, it might make…

"Look, it's very hot out here. It's really, really tough. It's like being abroad when you're on holiday.

"But you have to make the best of a bad situation, and I thought if I don't touch the glass, I won't add that moisture to my hands, and it worked!

"I didn't know you were going to catch it on camera. I was hoping I did it discreetly, but yeah, I was just trying to help myself a bit."

  • Gilding 7-3 Woodhouse

Woodhouse had a bull for a 164 checkout to keep the match alive.

    This is stunning stuff.

He has raced into a 4-0 lead and is more than halfway there.

These two have had a bit of rest and are ready and raring to go again.

Slight change in format - these are first to seven legs instead of six.

  • Semis are set

    Three matches left.

    Two semi-finals and a final.

    The semis are:

    • Anderson vs Van Duijvenbode
    • Gilding vs Woodhouse
  • Woodhouse 6-5 Smith

    Woodhouse does it!

It came down to the final leg and it was the Woodhouse who kept his nerve to dump out the former world champion.

  • Woodhouse 5-5 Smith

Smith gets it! He nudges in front by checking out 64.

And now he will throw for a place in the semis...

It is - and he takes it.

    Another decider to come...

Nothing to separate these two as we move towards the crunch part of the quarters.

    4-4.

    Woodhouse with the throw.

  • Woodhouse vs Smith

Now time for the fourth and final quarter-final in Germany.

It is Luke Woodhouse vs Michael Smith.

  • Wright beaten

Andrew Gilding cruised into a 6-1 victory over Peter Wright to reach the final four.

Gilding hit four 180s in the win, double Wright's.

  • Wright vs Gilding

No time to waste in Germany.

Next up in the third quarter-final it is Peter Wright vs Andrew Gilding...

  • Wade 5-6 Van Duijvenbode

    Van Duijvenbode missed D16 twice...

    He moves across...

    And misses again!

Wade with D8 to win it... 8... misses D4... 4!

    DRAMA!

Do neither of them want to win this?!

Van Duijvenbode eventually gets D16 and crawls over the line.

  • Wade 5-5 Van Duijvenbode

    And it's 5-5!

    Unbelievable scenes.

    Into a decider...

  • Wade 4-5 Van Duijvenbode

    And it's all over.

Wade leaves himself 60... can his rival take out 118? No.

Wade hits D10 to extend the quarter-final.

  • Wade 3-5 Van Duijvenbode
