DARTS fans hailed the "best match ever" after Luke Littler beat Luke Humphries 6-3 in a blur of FOURTEEN 180s.

Littler averaged 116 and Humphries 110 in their "staggering" Premier League Night 15 opener.

And commentator Wayne Mardle exclaimed "even they're finding it funny" - as the world's two finest players left viewers awed.

Humphries produced the biggest smile of all - ironically when he fell victim to the most brutal leg of all.

The pair were level at 3-3 when they whipped Mardle into a frenzy by trading three 180s... before Littler checked out on 144 - and grinned.

The Sky Sports pundit raved: "Are you're kidding me! Are you're kidding me! This is an absolute joke.

"This is ridiculous. Even they are finding it funny!"

Poor Humphries outscored the Nuke by nine maximums to five - but still lost.

Incredibly, Littler then crashed OUT in the semi-final.

Trailing 5-3 against Chris Dobey, he levelled at 5-5 but slumped in the final leg.

However, the Nuke and Humphries were long ago assured a place in the Prem playoff finals at the O2 Arena in London on May 23.

And one fan responded to their quarter-final classic by insisting: "Has to be the highest level this sport has ever seen."

And a fourth noted: "Littler defies NINE 180s from Humphries to secure top spot in the table!"

Many rated it "the best" or "one of the greatest" darts matches ever.

And with the pair teaming up next month for England, some fans made points like: "World Cup gonna be hilarious. Whitewash every game."

Gerwyn Price celebrated a record-extending fifth Prem nine-darter – which saw him receive a second set of £30,000 18ct Gold Darts from sponsors BetMGM – yet he lost 6-4 to Stephen Bunting.

Beleaguered Michael van Gerwen slumped to fifth place in the table following a 6-3 last-eight loss to Nathan Aspinall.

And the Dutchman, 36, is in danger of missing out on the playoffs for the second time in 13 outings – unless he wins next week in Sheffield.

Aspinall claimed his second nightly win of the year as he bashed up Chris Dobey 6-1 in the final to bank £10,000 -- and leapfrog Michael van Gerwen in the table into fourth spot.
