Luke Humphries 5-3 Rob Cross
Routine hold of throw for Humphries once more and he's now one leg from victory tonight.
A checkout of 68 this time for Cool Hand with Cross behind on 107, not really pressurising the Humphries throw since the second leg.
Luke Humphries 4-3 Rob Cross
Good hold from Cross there to stem the Humphries flow.
Humphries hit a 140 to leave 36 to really pressure the 62 left by Cross.
But good stuff from Cross who does well to take that 62 to keep the match alive.
Luke Humphries 3-2 Rob Cross
11-dart leg and break of throw for Luke Humphries as he goes in front!
He puts pressure on Cross' 99 by leaving 96 himself. Cross fails to check it out and Humphries returns with a superb two-dart combo to clean up the 96.
Luke Humphries 2-2 Rob Cross
That's why he's world number one!
Another dominant leg and not as much faffing on his doubles this time as Humphries can't take out 81 but leaves 40 to come back to.
Cross can only leave himself 200 so no finish again and Humphries comes back for it.
Luke Humphries 0-2 Rob Cross
Excellent start from Rob Cross and he breaks in the second leg!
Humphries hasn't got going yet and is averaging 71 in the opening two legs.
Cross leaves 36 and Humphries' response is to leave 183. Again not on a finish and the 36 goes easily for Cross.
Luke Humphries 0-1 Rob Cross
Comfortable hold of throw for Cross, who hit 2x180s in the leg to leave 82.
He has six darts from there as Humphries hasn't left a finish and he comes back to check the 82 out for the opener.
Finishing finalless?
Rob Cross has the third highest tournament average - yet he's still looking for his first final appearance!
He'll throw first in this one - GAME ON!
Next up
It's Luke Humphries vs Rob Cross!
Humphries will finish the league campaign second, but he spoke before hand about needing confidence going into next week....
Relief more than anything?
Incredibly, Aspinall is actually up to third, leapfrogging Gerwyn Price who is still to play tonight.
Shots backstage show Aspinall walking with his head in his hands, it clearly means EVERYTHING to him.
Shaping up to be a terrific week next week.
But we've still five matches to come tonight!
Michael van Gerwen's Premier League campaign is OVER!
Nathan Aspinall 6-2 Michael van Gerwen
For the second week running, it's a thoroughly dominant display from Nathan Aspinall to beat Michael van Gerwen.
When he's needed it most the last couple of weeks, Aspinall has delivered.
And you can see with the emotion on his face exactly what this means.
Mr Brightside will be played to the big crowd next week!
Nathan Aspinall is into finals night at the 02!!!!
Nathan Aspinall 5-2 Michael van Gerwen
Aspinall get your passport ready, you're headed for the 02!
Ok, he doesn't need a passport but he's absolutely FLYING here!
Another superb checkout, when again he has six darts at 113 and needs just three, checking out on tops.
He needs one more for finals night!
Nathan Aspinall 4-2 Michael van Gerwen
That should've been far easier for Van Gerwen than it was as he was well clear in the leg.
But misses at D8, D4 and D2 means he has to wrap up the hold of throw on D1.
Nathan Aspinall 4-1 Michael van Gerwen
Different class, Nathan Aspinall!
Absolutely superb from The Asp! Five perfect darts to open before apologising to the crowd for missing the sixth.
He then has six darts from 124 with MVG not on a finish, but he checks out the 124 superbly finishing on D8 to move further clear!
Nathan Aspinall 3-1 Michael van Gerwen
ASPINALL BREAKS AGAIN!
Van Gerwen misses darts at D20 and D10 to level the match but both miss!
Aspinall hit a 128 to leave 12 from 140 and comes back with three darts at D6 and needs just the two to reopen his two-leg lead.
Nathan Aspinall 2-0 Michael van Gerwen
ASPINALL BREAKS!!
Van Gerwen is in big trouble now!
He misses a dart for a double and Aspinall had left himself just 20 prior to that.
One dart visit for The Asp sees him pin the D10 and double his lead.
Nathan Aspinall 1-0 Michael van Gerwen
Horrifically tense darts - until a bit of class at the very end!
MVG was in front and in charge of that leg against the throw and good set-up from MVG puts pressure on the 100 left by Aspinall.
He comes back for a two-dart combo and T20 - D20 later he takes the opener.
Nathan Aspinall 0-0 Michael van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen simply HAS to win.
He's never, ever missed out on finals night at the 02!!
He needs to win the entire night - something he hasn't done this year - and that starts here.
Aspinall to throw first - GAME ON!
Some noise
Some boos to start for Michael van Gerwen before some sing-a-long once again.
Great atmosphere for the big one.
Bright horizons
Nathan Aspinall is at the top of the walkway as this crunch quarter final is upon us.
He's waving to the crowd asking for more as they sing-a-long to Mr Brightside.
The only reason for his inclusion some said....He could be about to shut up a lot of people very shortly.
By the way, the a cappella at the end there was something else....
Good for The Asp?
Seeing Littler in this sort of form should relax Nathan Aspinall, knowing even if he loses this next quarter final, his pal might bail him out by beating MVG anyway.
Nobody is beating Littler in that sort of form.
Aspinall should be fairly confident in his own ability and record over the Dutchman recently anyway...
Superb Littler is through!
Luke Littler 6-1 Stephen Bunting
A stunning 127 checkout to finish for Littler after a quite sensational performance!
Three 100+ checkouts, a 114.37 average and six from six on the doubles.
Bunting is even smiling and holding up six fingers as Littler turns round to shake hands. A sore one for him but not too much he could've done about that.
Outrageous stuff from the teenager, who will break the points total in the league phase tonight!
