PGA Championship 2025 LIVE RESULT: Scottie Scheffler WINS third major title with a commanding FIVE shot victory

SCOTTIE Scheffler WON the PGA Championship to pick up a third major of his career.

Scottie Scheffler is now half way to the golf Grand Slam, and won the tournament with a FIVE shot victory over Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley.

Jon Rahm made a daring comeback in the final round, and was level with Scheffler at one point, but the Spanish player was unable to keep his momentum going throughout the entire round.

Bryson DeChambeau finished well on the final day, and shared second place with Davis Riley.

  • Hole 3: Rory McIlroy (+4)

Bogey at 1, bogey at 3. A disappointing start to round four for McIlroy who cards his second 5 of the round.

Almost carbon copy of the first couple of holes too.

His tee shot finds the right rough and he looks to try and shape a shot with cut into the green, instead finding the front right bunker.

He splashes out again and this time can't save the par with his putt and has to take the bogey.

  • Hole 4: Xander Schauffele (+2), Sam Burns (E)

Bogey for Schauffele on the third which undoes his birdie in the hole before.

He pars fourth alongside Burns, who remains level par after his earlier two birdies.

  • Hole 4: Tommy Fleetwood (+4), Collin Morikawa (+2)

That Sunday charge comes to an early halt.

Morikawa takes five on the par 4, 3rd hole before a par on the fourth.

Opposite for Fleetwood who pars number three before a bogey on the par 3, 4th.

  • Hole 2: Rory McIlroy (+3)

That had another bogey written all over it for McIlroy, but a superb putt saves his par.

He finds the rough down the right from his tee shot before pulling his shot into the green.

It leaves his ball pressed against the second cut as he sits on the rough beside the green, albeit pin-high. He's forced to blade it and does so to 12ft but sinks the putt to stay +3.

  • Hole 2: Xander Schauffele (+1), Sam Burns (E)

Xander Schauffele is under par for the day as he birdies his second hole to move back to +1 for the week.

But playing partner, Sam Burns has gone one better, with birdie at both the opening holes to move back to level par!

  • Hole 2: Tommy Fleetwood (+3), Collin Morikawa (+1)

Speaking of Sunday charges, might it be from Collin Morikawa?

Sure, he's too far back off the lead but it's a terrific BIRDIE-BIRDIE opening for him after a superb three on the second hole.

Playing partner Fleetwood opens with back-to-back pars.

  • Hole 1: Rory McIlroy (+3)

Quite the opposite start than he was looking for....

BOGEY for McIlroy to start his round, with a poor strike from the fairway, finding the bunker to the right of the 1st green.

He splashes it out low and to around six feet before a tentative putt which sneaks by. Tap in five and he's now 14 back of the lead.

  • Hole 1: Rory McIlroy (+2)

Here comes McIlroy as he gets his final round underway.

We've seen plenty of Sunday charges from him down the years, though this time it's to probably try and steal a top-20 finish.

  • Latest leaderboard

The lead at the top is three for Scheffler, with Alex Noren the nearest pursuer.

Jon Rahm finds himself five shots back, with Bryson DeChambeau a further one back.

  • Hole 1: Tommy Fleetwood (+3), Collin Morikawa (+2)

Birdie at the opening hole for Collin Moriwaka, for the first time this week.

You can't birdie them all if you don't birdie the first!

Par start for Fleetwood on the first - a hole he's played +1 for the week.
