Disappointing for fans after a no-show from Berbatov, but they still have a super-fit looking Nani and Jesus Navas to enjoy.

Former Spurs midfielder Steffen Freund is also here, and even at 55, you still definitely wouldn't mess with him.

Freund looks like he could be the leader of this time... and has jokingly nominated himself to play the whole game behind the goal

  • Will the final be on YouTube?

Last year, the Europa League final wasn't shown on YouTube, which was a shock to many fans as it had been aired on the platform from 2016 to 2023.

And it will be the same for this year's Europa League final too.

The match was previously available to watch on BT Sport's official YouTube channel.

However, that was not the case in 2024 due to BT Sport merging with discovery+ and Eurosport under the TNT Sports brand.

And instead of broadcasting the final for free on YouTube, the broadcaster opted to provide a free stream on their app, discovery+.

  • Bil-ding blocks

Manchester United or Tottenham fans will be praising their heroes for securing Champions League qualification in one of Europe’s most fascinating stadiums - dubbed ‘the Cathedral’.

The 53,000-seater venue - which has LED coloured lights on the outside like Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena - replaced their predecessor stadium of the same name which opened exactly 100 years earlier.

In an incredible touch recognising their history and heritage, a brick and a piece of turf from the old ground were also used in the building of the new San Mames.

But rather than let a construction worker do the deed, a human chain including club legends, members of the women’s team, academy and both its oldest and youngest players and fans were all involved in carrying the brick from its place in the old stadium facade to the neighbouring new site.

  • Spur of the moment

Spurs fans are in full voice ahead of tonight's huge Europa League final!

Can they finally end a 17-year troughy drought?!

  • Shorts shrift

Manchester United will wear their red home shirts with black shorts and black socks for tonight's Europa League final.

The Red Devils have only worn the red, black, black combination once this season.

Ordinarily Ruben Amorim's side would wear red shirts with white shorts and black socks.

But with Tottenham having been drawn as the home team for the Europa League final, their home kit takes precedence.

  • Need Spurring on

Tottenham's last run out wasn't very enjoyable either, but Ange Postecoglou did rest several key stars.

Spurs decided to rotate heavily for their trip to Aston Villa.

The side is languishing just above the relegation zone, and lost 2-0 at Villa Park.

  • Red danger

Manchester United went all out for their recent clash against Chelsea, but it did not pay off.

The side went full strength but were beaten 1-0 by a Marc Cucurella second-half header.

This doesn't bode well going into this match.

However, United manager Ruben Amorim will be well aware of the fact that his team have been unstoppable in the Europa League this year.

James Maddison and Radu Dragusin will also miss the game.

However, Pape Matar Sarr will be fit, after appearing to go off injured against Aston Villa.

  • Slice of the action

Domino’s is turning up the heat ahead of the Europa League final, unveiling a live billboard outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that cheekily highlights the team’s prolonged silverware drought.

The billboard reveals that Domino’s has delivered well over a billion pizzas - 1,569,226,205 to date – across the UK and Ireland since Spurs last lifted a trophy; that’s enough to cover their home ground a staggering 25,873 times.

A playful nod to just how long it’s been since Spurs’ last triumph, the billboard was unveiled as today marks 17 years, two months and twenty-four days, or 6,279 days, since Tottenham Hotspurs last won a trophy in a 2-1 League Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in 2008.

The North London team will face Manchester United in the final at the Estadio de San Mamés in Bilbao after a less than impressive Premier League season which has left them languishing near the bottom of the table.

  • Final clash

THis the shocking moment a brawl erupts between Manchester United and Tottenham fans as punches get thrown ahead of the Europa League final.

  • Early United team news

Manchester United will be WITHOUT Matthijs de Ligt and Lissandro Martinez for the final, but are boosted some returns.

However, Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee and Diogo Dalot will be returning to action for the huge Europa League final clash.

  • Postecoglou's life lessons

Ange Postecoglou has said: “I’ve said to the lads from day one that nothing is guaranteed in life, nothing is guaranteed in sport

“You just need to try and make sure you take every opportunity before you.

“That’s what I have done my whole career. I’ve been in this position before where the big game was the last game I managed. It’s not unusual territory for me.

“I have always navigated it pretty well because, for me, nothing is more important than my responsibility for this football club and its fans.

“Me, the players, our mind is only on one thing and that is to create something special.

  • Amorim speaks

Amorim has said it is strange that he does not need to win to keep a job: “I know that in this kind of club, also Tottenham but especially Manchester United, it’s strange because you have some coaches here that lose games and are sacked.

“It’s hard to explain. People see what we are trying to do and see I’m thinking more about the club than myself.

“People, especially the board, understand that we have a lot of issues that in the context are really hard.

“I don’t know how to explain (why) the fans like me at this moment. It’s hard to explain. I will try to prove myself to the fans, to the board, but I don’t have an explanation.”

  • Tottenham's route to the final

Spurs finished fourth in the group stage, a point behind Utd, after losing against Galatasaray.

The side then beat AZ Alkmaar in the round of 16, losing the first leg but turning it around in the second leg.

They then put in a fantastic display away in Germany to beat
Frankfurt 2-1 on aggregate, with Solanke scoring the only goal of the night.

Ange Postecoglou’s side then eased past Bobo/Glimt 5-1 over two legs to set up a tie against United.

  • How did Man Utd get here?

The Red Devils came third in the league phase, winning five, drawing three and losing none of their opening eight fixtures.

Amorim’s side then dispatched of Real Sociedad 5-2 on aggregate, winning the second leg 4-1 after a draw in Spain.

Then came one of the most iconic European quarter-final ties in history, as United came from 4-2 down to win 5-4 with a late Harry Maguire header, as they beat Lyon 7- 6 on aggregate.

The side then dispatched Athletic Club 7-1 on aggregate, denying the side a home final.

Seven is heaven for United and I don’t mean Ayden in these last two rounds, can they win 7-0 tonight?!

  • Previous encounters

The sides have already met THREE times this season, with Tottenham coming out on top in all three clashes.

The first game at Old Trafford in September saw Spurs dismantle United 3-0, thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.

Solanke and Kulusevski were again in the goals, alongside Son Heung-Min, as Spurs knocked United out the Carabao Cup 4-3.

The most recent meeting came in February, as James Maddison scored the only goal of a 1-0

  • Welcome to SunSport's coverage of the Europa League final!

Two teams aiming to put a poor season behind them with a trophy, but only one can prevail in Bilbao.

Man Utd put their unbeaten Europa League season on the line, while Ange Postecoglou puts his second season trophy promise on the line.

The Red Devils have experience winning the competition as recently as 2017, and experience in the final in 2021.

The side lost to Unai Emery’s Villareal in 2021.

Spurs last European final experience came in 2019, and it came against English competition, but the side were beaten by Liverpool.
