Brentford AGREE transfer for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher with fans shocked by fee

BRENTFORD have agreed to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in a deal potentially rising to £18million.
After several successful seasons backing up Reds stopper Alisson, the Irishman is finally set for a crack as a Premier League No1.
Kelleher, 26, has made 67 senior appearances for the Reds.
Under Jurgen Klopp and then Arne Slot, the Cork-born ace has helped Liverpool to a Premier League title, an FA Cup, two League Cups and the Uefa Super Cup.
But he has been desperate to be the main man, a chance he will now get with the Bees.
As things stood, Kelleher - who had just one year left on his Anfield deal - was due to be Liverpool's third-choice keeper next season after the £29million arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.

But fans were still shocked at the low price for Kelleher, with Brentford understood to be paying an upfront fee of just £12.5m.
One wrote on X: "How much? Bros a 50m keeper going for 12.5m."
While a second claimed: "lol bargain. Trent cost Madrid 2.5m less for a month."
Another added: "12.5? 30 million GK there and they let him for 12.5. Wow."

While one said: "That is an absolute steal."
Thomas Frank's side are seeking a replacement for outgoing stopper Mark Flekken.
The Dutchman, 31, is on the verge of becoming Erik ten Hag's first signing as Bayer Leverkusen boss.
Flekken has agreed to join Leverkusen in an £11m deal, although the transfer has not yet been finalised with Brentford wanting to find a replacement first.
With Kelleher on the brink of signing, the Bees will likely complete their Flekken sale in the coming days.
Several fans have been left stunned by the bargain fee for Kelleher.
