Whyte was scheduled to appear on the Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni undercard, but his supposed opponent was never revealed.

And now his promoter Frank Warren has announced that he will NOT be boxing on the huge Portman Road bill.

The British icon's most recent bout came against Ebenezer Tetteh last December, which he won by way of a seventh-round stoppage.

So, when will Whyte return to the ring?

When is Dillian Whyte's next fight?

Warren revealed that Whyte withdrew from the Portman Road card due to the Body Snatcher having a potential "big, big fight in August".

Speaking on Box Nation, the Queensberry Promotions founder said: "He's not going to be on the card now.

"He's had an opportunity of a big, big fight in August, and we're looking to get that over the line.

"That's going to take priority.

"He wants that, he wants the bigger than he would be getting if he'd been fighting in Ipswich.

"It's a really big fight, yeah."

Some reports have suggested that Whyte could fight former WBO cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie in an all-English blockbuster.
