THE superstars on Raw were back in action last night with an excellent show.
With Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe just weeks away, the return of WWE’s monster, and the conclusion of Enzo and Cass’s mystery attacker saga, it was dramatic stuff.
Here are seven important things we learnt from Raw.

Roman wants the winner of Brock Lesnar v Samoa Joe
Roman Reigns opened the show to make his big SummerSlam announcement – he wants to challenge for the Universal Championship.
But in a moment of islander rivalry, Roman called his fellow Samoan “that guy they call Joe” – causing Joe to hit the ring and start a brawl in a bid to teach Roman his name.
Joe’s been booked so strong the last two weeks it was disappointing to see Roman get the better of him – but it set up a match between the pair later on the show.
Elias Samson doesn’t like being upstaged
As Samson prepared to play a song in the ring, Finn Bálor interrupted and forced “The Drifter” to retreat.
Bálor then defeated the longsuffering Bo Dallas in a throwaway match.
Backstage, Bálor was asked about his predictions for Roman v Joe but was savagely attacked by Samson – who warned Bálor to never upstage him.
It looks like Bálor is finally getting a proper storyline – though a feud with Samson feels like a demotion for Bálor.
“The Demon King” is losing ground fast on Raw.
Rollins has no time for Bray
Seth Rollins cut a promo on being the cover star of WWE 2K18 and his future in WWE – but was soon interrupted by Bray Wyatt on the titan tron.
“The Eater of Worlds” called Rollins a hypocrite for claiming to be a better man yet still valuing material things.
Or something like that.
Wyatt then came to the ring – but Rollins wasted no time in leaping from the top rope to take Wyatt out.
“The Architect” is clearly just as sick of Wyatt’s rubbish promos as we are.
Joe choked out Roman
Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe battled an exciting back-and-forth match.
The big question was: would WWE really sacrifice Joe opponent to Roman just weeks before his big match against Brock Lesnar?
(We wouldn’t put it past WWE in the never ending mission to make Roman look strong.)
But in a shocking development, Joe kicked out of the superman punch and got his foot on the rope after a spear – two of the most protected moves in WWE.
Joe then locked in the Coquina Clutch and choked Roman into unconsciousness, after Roman was distracted by the sound of an ambulance…

Because Braun Strowman is back
The ambulance appeared on the titantron, reversing into the building. The doors then flew open to reveal “The Monster Among Men” – to a huge babyface pop from the crowd.
After Joe had left Roman laying unconscious, Strowman hit the ring and told Reigns he wasn’t finished with – then nailed “The Big Dog” with a face-planting chokeslam.
Strowman challenged Roman to an ambulance match at Great Balls of Fire.
Expect the winner of that match to now face either Joe or Lesnar at SummerSlam (a tenner says it will be Lesnar v Strowman).
The Miz has a new entourage
Miz tried to make amends with Maryse by presenting her with a grandfather clock – the same clock she bought for him as a gift two weeks back and her accidentally destroyed.
Miz claimed that all those nights she thought he was sleeping on the sofa, he was actually in garage fixing the clock with tape and glue (sounds like a professional job).
Dean Ambrose gatecrashed their special moment, causing Miz to spill champagne on Maryse then accidentally smash up the clock for a second time.
Maryse stormed off (back to the sofa for Miz) before Ambrose attempted to hit Miz with Dirty Deeds.
But Miz’s two dancing bear mascots attacked Ambrose, then revealed themselves to be Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas (Miz’s co-stars from that cinematic classic The Marine 5).
Enzo & Cass’s mystery attacker was revealed
In the closing segment, Raw GM Kurt Angle attempted to reveal who had attacked Enzo and Cass over the past few weeks.
He called out prime suspects The Revival and The Big Show – but Corey Graves interrupted to show CCTV footage of Big Cass staging his attack backstage the previous week.
Cass confessed – he was sick of Enzo and wanted to see him suffer. He’d been responsible for the attacks on his own partner – then laid out Enzo with a big boot.
It wasn’t exactly KO v Y2J at the Festival of Friendship, but Enzo did manage to shed some tears.
Most probably because while 7-footer Cass tramples into the main event he’ll be left to do the jobber stuff like dress up as a teddy bear with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.
