Everyone on Twitter makes same Romelu Lukaku joke after Man Utd star fails to find target in Manchester Derby and ‘throws bottle at Mikel Arteta’

Fans take to social media to rip into Romelu Lukaku after Manchester Derby post-match fracas

THE MANCHESTER DERBY erupted into madness after the final whistle yesterday with United and City players clashing in the tunnel and dressing rooms.

After City's 2-1 win over their arch rivals at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho was fuming with the Citizens' overexuberant celebrations.

The Portuguese boss let City goalkeeper Ederson know exactly how he felt and all hell proceeded to break loose.

A 20-man brawl in the tunnel reportedly ended in Mourinho getting milk, water and a bottle thrown at him.

Lukaku - who missed a sitter which would have put United back level - according to Spanish radio station 'threw a bottle' at Man City coach Mikel Arteta, leaving him with facial wounds.

Twitter users responded by questioning why Lukaku could hit the Spaniard, but not the target.

City went 1-0 up through midfield talisman David Silva, but Marcus Rashford equalised after capitalising on some dodgy defending from Nicolas Otamendi just before the break.

Pep Guardiola's side were knocking on the door and in the 54th minute, Otamendi made up for his previous error, putting his side ahead.

A controversial moment came in the 79th minute when Ander Herrera was deemed to have dived in the box.

Mourinho was furious after the game, saying referee Michael Oliver made an "important mistake" in not giving a penalty.

Forward Lukaku put in another torrid display against a big side, with many questioning his ability to keep composed in key moments.

Although the forward has eight goals in 16 league appearances so far this campaign, his form of late has been lacklustre.
