DEONTAY WILDER gave new meaning to the term "trash talk" - with a comment that was better left in the bin.
The WBC heavyweight champion said in a video uploaded to Twitter: "I'm the best, no one will get me.
"I'm half human, half hybrid. I'm an extraterrestrial species."
To emphasise his point, Wilder captioned the clip: "Half human, half hybrid.
"I am the best everyone else is just average. #Bombzquad #WilderVsOrtiz #Facts #TheRealistChampionInTheBusiness"
Wilder, 32, is expected to defend his WBC title against Luis Ortiz on March 3.
And while he was surely meant to intimidate the Cuban, social media users could not help but point out his mistake.
By calling himself "half human, half hybrid", Wilder was essentially saying he is "half human, half half-human".
Some joked the Bronze Bomber could not understand English while another user urged Wilder to use a dictionary.
One fan wrote: "I like you Deontay, your [sic] a cool cat, but when the rain comes you get wet and you've no umbrella."
Wilder holds one of the belts Anthony Joshua has set his sights on winning.
The Brit world champion needs the WBC and WBO titles to complete his dream of unifying the heavyweight division.
Joshua, 28, is edging closer toward a fight with WBO king Joseph Parker after reaching a proceeds deal.
Should he win that, only the Wilder will stand in his way.
