Super League: Six things we spotted over the first weekend as Jack Walker wows for Leeds and Wigan’s Sam Tomkins impresses
Half a dozen of the best points to emerge from the first round of fixtures

SO the first round of Super League fixtures is out of the way, and there were plenty of talking points.
Champions Leeds, Wigan and St Helens all caught the eye with victories and stunning tries. Saints' 46-6 thrashing of Castleford was particularly impressive.
Castleford have work to do after seemingly coming down to earth with a bump, while Catalans will be licking their wounds after surrendering at Widnes.
But what were the main issues to come out of the weekend? Here, SunSport chooses six of the best.
Jack Walker is ready to stand up to the world's best.
LEEDS full-back Jack Walker stole the show as they won the Grand Final last year, against Warrington he was arguably even better with four trysaving tackles. Can the 18-year-old do it against Melbourne in the World Club Challenge? Do not be surprised if he does.
Wigan's wing worries, fitting them all in!
LIAM Marshall stole the show in their 40-12 win at Salford by scoring one try and setting up another with brilliant kicks. However, Tom Davies scored and there is currently injured Joe Burgess and Dom Manfredi to fit in. How does coach Shaun Wane do it?
Sarg is back on patrol
DAN Sarginson admits injuries ruined his NRL stint but he is back at Wigan determined to rediscover his form – as well as ideally his England place - and by supplying Tom Davies for a try and putting in a solid show, he could be on his way back.
Tomkins Two Jobs?
AFTER starring at full-back, Sam Tomkins switched to scrum-half when Morgan Escare came on. Different position, different role, same quality and same impact from the man looking to put injury woes firmly behind him.
Jumping Johnstone on way to white?
KNEE injury wrecked Tom Johnstone's England hopes last year just as he was in line for the squad, but a stunning hat-trick at Hull KR, including two stunning flying finishes, showed he can dream of getting a call-up again.
The Wolfpack is coming
TORONTO had the toughest of starts to life in the Championship at relegated Leigh but made easy work of it with a 34-12 win. Whether Super League votes to extend to 14 teams or not for 2019 or not, the Wolfpack may play their way in.
