Schmeichel joined the Foxes from Leeds United in June 2011 for an undisclosed fee.
The 6"3' star has made 269 appearances for the club and he helped them to win the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season.
He started his career at Manchester City in 2005, but he was quickly shipped out on loan.
