Dustin Johnson ‘congratulates’ Brooks Koepka on PGA player of the year gong… as USA captain Jim Furyk confirms spat between pair at Ryder Cup
World number one Johnson tweeted the three-time major winner but golf fans weren't buying it after their Ryder Cup fall-out

DUSTIN JOHNSON has tweeted Brooks Koepka a message of congratulations following his PGA Player of the Year win - but golf fans don't believe it's sincere for one second.
SunSport exclusively revealed that the pair fell-out during Europe's stunning Ryder Cup victory last month.
It was revealed that both Americans popped into the European team room to have a beer with their opponents - but ended up having a heated row and had to be pulled apart.
The pair were best buddies before the tournament, they both worked out together at a Florida gym and were even labelled the "Bash Brothers."
Johnson tweeted: "Congratulations @bkoepka. Great season bro...POY well-deserved."
But golf fans believe the damage of their Ryder Cup bust-up is irreparable, and there is no way world number one Johnson's tweet is sincere.
Today, USA's Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk confirmed the altercation between the golfers.
He told the : "Whatever altercation started, or what happened, it was very brief.
"It was very short. Neither one of them really took anything out of it.
"They're like brothers. Brothers may argue, brothers get into it. But they're as close as they've ever been, and it really had no effect on either one of them."
Johnson has also reportedly had fractious relations with his wife Paulina in recent times.
Paulina deleted all pictures of Johnson from her Instagram in early September, raising concerns over their future - and it is apparent she was close-by during the Ryder Cup fallout.
No-one seems to know what set off the American pair but one witness of the incident said Pauline was “clearly shocked and upset when it all kicked off”.
Brooks Koepka has moved quickly to deny any fall-out with his compatriot.
Earlier this month, "This Dustin thing I don't get. There is no fight. There is no argument. He is one of my best friends. I love the kid to death.
"We talked on the phone Monday and yesterday so tell me how we fought? I don't know. People like to make a story and run with it."
Johnson is the current number one in the world rankings but the American scored one point on the board for USA from the five matches he played.
Keopka bettered that score with one and a half points at Le Golf National in Paris.
The 28-year-old is the reigning US Open and US PGA champion.
