Jon Jones says Stipe Miocic is ‘best heavyweight of all time’ after destroying Daniel Cormier at UFC 241

JON JONES hailed Stipe Miocic as “the greatest of all time” after he dethroned Daniel Cormier as UFC heavyweight champion last summer.
The rivals will clash for the third and final time at UFC 252 on Saturday.
Miocic regained the heavyweight championship from Cormier in August 2019 - just a year after he was KOed by the same opponent.
Heading into round four DC was hurt with several body shots on the inside and began to look visibly troubled by the hard punches to the mid-section.
A left-hook to the body by Miocic signalled the beginning of the end as he then unleashed a barrage of shots and dropped Cormier with a right hand before the fight was halted.
After the pay-per-view had finished, UFC light heavyweight champ Jones wasted no time in sharing his thoughts on the stunning event.
And he believes Miocic’s triumph proves he is the greatest heavyweight MMA star to ever walk the planet.
“Bones” wrote: “Stipe is hands down the greatest heavyweight of all time.
“I have nothing else to say.”
Now Jones is looking forward to see how the UFC’s official pound-for-pound rankings shape-up after the weekend’s explosive action.
Before last summer's pay-per-view Cormier was in top spot, with Jones No.2 and Miocic placed at No.11.

Ahead of their third bout, UFC president Dana White said: "The truth is going into this fight with all the hype, one of these two that wins the fight, definitely goes down as the best heavyweight in UFC history and they're both candidates.
"If you look at what Stipe has accomplished and Cormier in two different weight classes what this guy has accomplished is one of the greatest of all time."
