But after announcing he plans to return to the ring on May 13, providing he receives a licence from the British Board of Control, he seemed shocked to discover his heavy news.

He was making no secret of his huge physique, however, tweeting it out to his followers.

And he does not seem too deterred with the task ahead to get ring-ready.

He said: “I’ve moved on from the dark and scary place I’ve been living and if I can beat depression then I can beat anything. The hardest fight of my life.

“I’m starting a fresh start, letting go of the past and concentrating on the future, got to keep moving forwards.”

Fury was forced to give up his titles last year after he had his boxing licence revoked in October.

“Fury has a lot of issues he needs to deal with before he even thinks about getting in the ring properly.

“He has an anti-doping issue, he has other medical issues that all have to be considered.

“We haven’t had any contact with him since he was suspended so I would expect, if he was looking to box shortly, he’ll need to contact us.

“He hasn’t done so and therefore nothing has changed. He is not in a position to box.”

But those words don’t seem to be stopping Fury, he seems set on getting back to work as quickly as possible.
