Joseph Parker reveals he gorges on tarantulas as part of his bizarre diet ahead of Anthony Joshua showdown

Kiwi has been chomping down on raw fish, spiders, scorpions and centipedes ahead of Cardiff showdown on March 31

JOSEPH PARKER has been gorging on a diet of tarantulas, centipedes, scorpions and raw fish as he winds up for the biggest fight of his career.

New Zealander Parker will fight Anthony Joshua on March 31 in Cardiff and has been keen to show how hungry he is with the bizarre diet.

The 26-year-old told the he once bit the head off a live snapper to kill it: "I caught a snapper, picked it up, took the hook off and it was shaking.

When asked how it tasted, he replied: "F****** good. Those boxers better be careful, man."

Undefeated Parker has slowly risen up the pro ranks and created quite a name for himself, remaining undefeated after his win over Hughie Fury last September.

The Joshua fight will be his first on British shores, in the Cardiff stadium that - since its reconstruction and opening in 1999 - his fellow countrymen have never lost in with a rugby ball in hand.

Parker may even want to cast his rod into the River Taff if he fancies a quiet afternoon after - and if - he beats heavyweight rival AJ.

He added: "I love raw fish. After winning the world title I bought my dad a boat, eight metres, and I've taken it out more than him!

'I WENT TOO FAR' Parker claims AJ 'takes steroids'.... before issuing online apology

"We got it not long ago, probably two months ago and I've taken it out maybe 15-20 times. I love fishing.

"The last time I went fishing, last Friday, I caught a two-metre mako shark, a hammerhead share, a kingfish and a snapper."
