Deontay Wilder hopes Wladimir Klitschko will give him advice on fighting Tyson Fury.. even though he lost to him
The two undefeated heavyweights meet on December 1 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles for the WBC world title
DEONTAY WILDER has revealed he would like advice from Wladimir Klitschko on sharing the ring with Tyson Fury.
Fury will be bidding to win the one belt he did not claim when he became a unified world champion by beating Klitschko in November 2015 on a famous night in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Fury ripped away Klitschko’s WBA, IBF and WBO straps.
And asked if he had reached out to Klitschko, Wilder admitted it would be a good idea.
He said: “I personally didn’t reach out to him, I don’t even know if my team have either. But that’s a great idea to do.
“I hadn’t even thought about that one, we’ve just been going along with what we know and what we’ve been doing has been amazing.
“We’ve had a lot of sparring partners come in these weeks of training and there’s been great looks, but that’s maybe something that we’ll probably reach out and do”
'Fury bemused Klitschko with excellent footwork and a well timed jab, unsettling the normally-formidable formidable puncher Klitschko.
Many believe a similar game plan is needed for Fury to be victorious against the devastating Wilder, who has won 39 of his 40 fights by knockout.
Wilder revealed if he had the chance he would ask the Ukrainian about his mentality during his shock defeat to Fury.
And he believes Klitschko could have beaten Fury if he had been more active in his attacks.
“ (I would) ask him how he was feeling, what he was thinking, what were the things that caused him not throw so many punches as we know he could do,” Wilder said.
“Because I feel that if Klitschko had have thrown punches like we know he could do, it would have been a different result in the fight.’
