Promoter Eddie Hearn claims he has sent offers to fight AJ in April to the Gypsy King and Deontay Wilder
FRANK WARREN has denied that Eddie Hearn offered a 60-40 split for Anthony Joshua to fight Tyson Fury in April.
The Gypsy King's promoter says the real offer he received was "derisory" and insisted the fight wouldn't happen without a 50-50 split.
Unified heavyweight world champion Joshua, 29, is pencilled in to defend his WBA, IBF and WBO titles on April 13 at Wembley - though an opponent is yet to be finalised.
Hearn recently revealed he has sent offers to WBC king Deontay Wilder, former Joshua opponent Dillian Whyte, and the Gypsy King Fury.
Joshua’s promoter even claimed Fury had been offered 40 percent of a £50million deal to fight AJ in April.
Fury’s promoter Warren told the a deal had been sent to his boxer, but not at the price Hearn suggested.
While he also revealed Fury, who was unfortunate not to rip the WBC title away from Wilder last December, would demand nothing less than a 50/50 split to face domestic rival Joshua.
Warren said: "We've never had that offer, no offer has been sent to me.
"Hearn sent Tyson an offer over the weekend but it certainly wasn't 60/40. It was quite a derisory offer and we haven't even responded to it.
"He would need 50/50, as simple as that."
Hearn stated Fury, 30 can be the man to rise from the opposite corner against Joshua on April 13.
While the Matchroom Boxing boss claimed Fury ‘knows the terms’ as he revealed Wilder, 33, has also been offered the lucrative London showdown.
Hearn said: “Fury, you can have the fight on the 13th, you know the terms.
“It is not far off an equal split, same as we offered Wilder and fans must not think Joshua doesn’t want the fights.
“I am not saying if I have made an offer — make of that what you will — but Fury knows the money he’d make.”
