Ricky Hatton: Tyson Fury could face winner of Joshua vs Ruiz – instead of stepping aside for Wilder

TYSON FURY should step aside and let Deontay Wilder fight the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr? Don't make me laugh.
Of course the WBC champ wants Tyson to delay their rematch, so he can have a crack at becoming the undisputed heavyweight champ by facing whoever owns the WBA, IBF and WBO belts after December 7.
The Bronze Bomber will be terrified Tyson will run rings around him again when they meet at the start of 2020, and he wants TWO massive paydays instead of one.
Tyson trains with Ben Davison at my gym but he has been away training in Marbella and Las Vegas so I haven't seen him for a while - but I can't see him doing Wilder any favours.
If anything Tyson will want to jump in and fight the winner of the Saudi Arabia fight, as he backs himself to beat any man.
It's a no-brainer for Tyson to refuse. Wilder is looking at it and thinking 'I can beat the winner of Joshua vs Ruiz and earn a fortune getting all the belts - then I can have another massive payday against Fury'. He's just trying to get paid twice.
Tyson is confident of beating all of them so I cannot imagine for a second he will be stepping aside for anyone, unless it somehow suits him.
I love AJ but I think he has his hands full with this Ruiz Jr rematch and I get the impression it will make him a fortune but cost him plenty of fans.
If Anthony wants to win all the belts back for the hundreds of thousands of fans that have followed him all over, then Saudi Arabia is not the place to do it.
I would certainly hope AJ has made enough money already to be able to pay Ruiz over the odds to have the rematch on all of his terms.
Your boxing legacy is almost always cemented by how you come back from a defeat, so this is huge.
If AJ had taken the fight in London, Manchester, or even Mexico, it would have cost him a few quid, but he would have got far more respect for doing it that way.
I speak to a lot of British boxing fans every day and the ones I hear from feel he has taken the p*** a bit by taking this fight in Saudi Arabia, but I wish him all the best.
TEAM HATTON
Nathan Gorman had a newborn baby days before his British heavyweight title loss to Daniel Dubois so the loss will be a bit of a choker for him.
His eldest lad was also seriously ill at the start of the camp but he never complained and got on with the job, falling just short against a great young talent in Daniel.

I gave Nathan a few weeks off to take time with his family and get over everything because he is only 23 and will come again
The likes of Dereck Chisora, David Price and Dave Allen have all lost fights and always managed to get a win and pull another big one out of their a*** from somewhere, and hopefully Nathan will be no different.
Nathan has a new gym-mate in Ibrahim Nadim. Ibby has won a lot of national amateur tournaments and has already jumped into a spar with a lot of our pros. He is already living in a big shared house with all the boys and we have high hopes for him.
