FRANCK RIBERY got a standing ovation as he helped condemn AC Milan to their worst start to a Serie A season for 80 years.
The hapless Rossoneri were struck down by Fiorentina in a 3-1 defeat, thanks no little to brilliant Ribery.
His 78th-minute cut inside right-back Davide Calabria and finish into the bottom corner showed the former Bayern Munich winger still has the old magic, even at the age of 36.
Ribery scored 112 goals in 12 seasons at the Allianz Arena and won the Treble with Bayern in 2013.
But he left at the end of his contract last season and has since joined the Serie A club, where he has gradually been given more game time as the season has got underway.
Milan had Matteo Musacchio sent off after 55 minutes after Ribery had already put the defender on his backside while dribbling into the box, before getting a shot on target.
When he was subbed off on 88 minutes, Ribery was given a standing ovation by some sections of the San Siro crowd.
Erick Pulgar's penalty had already put Fiorentina 1-0 up, before Gaetano Castrovilli put them 2-0 up with a tap-in after Gianluigi Donnarumma spilled the ball straight to his feet.

Federico Chiesa then had his penalty saved by Donnarumma, but moments later Ribery produced his moment of inspiration.
Marco Giampaolo looks close to the sack now after Milan were dealt their fourth defeat of the Serie A season, while they have now picked up six points from a possible 18.
It is their worst start to a league campaign since 1939-40 when Aldo Boffi's 24 league goals saved them from relegation.
