MANCHESTER UNITED captain Ashley Young has completed his move to Inter Milan.
The 34-year-old has penned a short-term contract at the San Siro until the end of the season - with the option for a further year.
And he becomes just the third Englishman to ever play for the Italian giants, following in the footsteps of Gerry Hitchens and fellow former United skipper Paul Ince.
Young joins ex Old Trafford team-mates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez at Inter - and will play under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
The former England international made 261 appearances for the Red Devils, having signed from Aston Villa in 2011.
Despite still skippering the side when on the pitch, Young had seen his minutes diminished by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
Luke Shaw finally won the battle to start ahead of Young at left-back.
And Brandon Williams' emergence from the academy appeared to be the final nail in the coffin of his Old Trafford career.
Young made his final appearance for the club on January 4, captaining the side to a dour 0-0 draw in the FA Cup against Wolves at Molineux.
He now trades the side fifth in the Premier League for a team fighting tooth and nail for the Serie A title.

Inter are currently second, two points behind leaders and reigning champions Juventus.
Sunday's trip to Lecce will likely be too soon for Young to make his debut.
But he could make his San Siro bow against Cagliari on Sunday 26 January.
