Chelsea accept Werner will move to Liverpool and turn transfer focus on Dembele instead

CHELSEA will turn their attention towards Lyon ace Moussa Dembele after conceding defeat in the race to sign Timo Werner, according to reports.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has prioritised signing a new striker in the summer to bolster his attack.
Lampard was in the market to land a new frontman in January but failed to get a deal over the line.
It had affected Olivier Giroud, who was forced to stay at Stamford Bridge despite his contract expiring in the summer.

But Lamps has identified the Lyon forward as the big-name signing needed to cement their Champions League position.
Dembele, 23, has been of fire for the majority of the campaign with 16 league goals in 27 appearances.
Lyon could be forced to cash in as they look set to miss out on European football next campaign.
According to the Athletic, Chelsea's targeting of the former Celtic man comes after learning of Werner's desire to join Liverpool.
The Red Bull Leipzig striker has been in sensational form with 21 Bundesliga goals this season.
It was initially reported the German international had a release clause of just over £50million in his deal at the Bundesliga outfit if triggered before the end of April.
However claim that clause is actually only worth a bargain £25m plus additional performance-based bonuses.
But Chelsea's pursuit appeared to come to an end when Werner spoke of his admiration of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
He told last month: “Yes I know that Liverpool is the best team in the world at the moment.
“When you're linked with that team it makes you very proud but in case of that, it's a pleasure, but I know Liverpool have a lot of good players.

“I have to improve myself and to learn much more things to get on this level and to play there.”
And speaking to Sky Germany, he added: “Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world.
“There is a lot to suggest that my style of play would suit there (Liverpool).”
