Man Utd star Timothy Fosu-Mensah totally in the dark over new contract with coronavirus stalling talks over deal


MANCHESTER UNITED defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah faces an uncertain wait to find out his future as talks surrounding his contract have reportedly stalled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Red Devils star is reported to be in the dark over whether or not United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to trigger a one-year extension on his current deal.

Norwegian boss Solskjaer is thought to rate Fosu-Mensah highly and would prefer to keep him at the club with a view to utilising his technical ability in midfield but the pandemic has complicated matters.

Fosu-Mensah could now be left in limbo with the strong possibility there will be no football before his contract expires in under two months' time.

However, that would allow the youngster to leave Old Trafford for free and he is not likely to be left short of potential suitors.
