David De Gea set to stay at Manchester United because Real Madrid are not willing to meet the Spaniard’s £39million buy-out clause

DAVID DE GEA believes that he will be STAYING at Manchester United next season.
According to Spanish publication AS, the Spain goalkeeper reckons that Real Madrid are not willing to meet his £39million buy-out clause.
The former Atletico Madrid man can leave if Real stump up €50m before June 15 — with De Gea apparently set to receive a monster £8.5m from Los Blancos if they fail to seal a deal by that date.
But with the clocking ticking down, there has reportedly been NO contact from Real to either De Gea or his agent Jorge Mendes.
And AS say that has led to De Gea thinking that he will still at Old Trafford under new boss Jose Mourinho next season.
Added to that, De Gea spoke positively last week about ‘winner’ Mourinho and his own determination to win more silverware with the Red Devils.
Mourinho has already called De Gea to persuade the eight-cap Spaniard that his future remains in Manchester.
It marks a contrast in the relationship that De Gea had with former boss Louis van Gaal, who barely spoke to United’s Player of the Season during his time in charge.
De Gea said: “I’ve got three more years on my contract with United and the desire to win more titles here.
“Talk about Jose Mourinho and you’re talking about a winner.
“Winning is United’s, Jose’s and my philosophy. We can make a great team and I welcome him.
“People talk a lot and they know little. I know how all this works, but what I think is disrespectful is when people start making out that it’s something I have said.”
But despite De Gea’s apparent willingness to stay at Old Trafford, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez still wants to bring the 25-year-old to the Spanish capital.
De Gea was on the verge of a switch on the final day of last summer’s transfer window, only for a deal to collapse that would have netted him over £9m a year and seen Keylor Navas go the other way.
But boss Zinedine Zidane has already told club chiefs that he is keen on Navas remaining his No.1 next season.
Navas has chosen not to play for his country in the Copa America to undergo minor surgery on an Achilles problem.
And the report states Zidane told the Costa Rican keeper as much before he went on holiday after Los Blancos sealed their Champions League triumph over city rivals Atletico.
De Gea is expected to be between the sticks as his country’s first-choice keeper when they get their Euro 2016 campaign under way against Czech Republic on June 13.
The legendary Iker Casillas – who has amassed 167 caps and won three major international trophies – is also in the squad, along with Sevilla’s Sergio Rico.
But De Gea is expected to see off the challenge of Porto’s Casillas and Rico for the Czech Republic game as well as the other Group D clashes against Croatia and Turkey.
