Euro 2016: Wayne Rooney’s son wears Jamie Vardy shirt to shoot down talk of rift between England stars

RUMOURS of a rift between Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy have been mocked - after the England captain's son took to the beach in Nice.
The build-up to tonight's crunch Euro 2016 clash with Iceland has been dogged by talk of a row between the Three Lions captain and Leicester star Vardy.
SunSport understands there have been no problems between the Manchester United star and his teammate.
And there appears no issue within the Rooney family after six-year-old Kai Rooney wore a shirt with Vardy's name on the back when he joined mum Coleen on the beach in Nice today.
The England captain admitted in March that his son had asked him to get a national shirt with Vardy's name on it, because he had become a favourite of the youngster this season.
And Kai donned the strip in the south of France this afternoon, hours before England take on Iceland in the last 16 of the tournament.
There had been claims that the pair had fallen out amid talk that Rooney was unhappy at the amount of social media posts from Vardy's new wife Rebekah.
The players have shown little sign of there being any tensions between them during training at the team's Chantilly base.
And yesterday, when a reporter asked Rooney to comment on the suggestions, England boss Roy Hodgson jumped in to set the record straight.
Hodgson said: “I’ll answer for Wayne as well. I do not have a clue what you are referring to.

“There are absolutely no problems in footballing terms between Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy – in fact it’s quite the opposite.
“They are very close friends on and off the field and I have no idea what you’re referring too.
“I would advise Wayne not to answer. It’s obviously one salacious story that someone has managed to spin and it is of no interest to us.”
In the build up to the friendly against Holland in March, Rooney admitted Vardy had become Kai's favourite player as he fired Leicester to the Premier League title.
Rooney said: “One of lads asked me today for an England kit with Vardy on the back.
“The impact he has had in the Premier League and now for England is great for English football and hopefully he can continue that for England.”
