Robert Lewandowski breaks Poland goal drought with Portugal starlet Renato Sanches levelling before goalkeeper Rui Patricio proves the shoot-out hero to set up last-four tie on Wednesday

RUI PATRICIO was Portugal's penalty shoot-out hero as Cristiano Ronaldo and Co marched into the Euro 2016 semi-finals.
Robert Lewandowski ended a mega seven-hour Euros goal drought before Renato Sanches levelled the scoring just after the half-hour mark in a largely dire contest that drifted agonisingly towards spot kicks.
And it was Portugal that triumphed to book themselves a semi-final date on Wednesday against the winner of Wales' clash with Belgium tomorrow after Rui Patricio - who scored a penalty and saved another from Darius Vassell at Euro 2004 to knock England out - saved Jakub Blaszczykowski's effort.
Lewandowski netted the second-quickest goal to have ever been scored at a Euros when he sidefooted home from a Kamil Grosicki’s cross after just 100 seconds.

And it brought to an end to the Bayern Munich marksmen's barren run at the European Championships - stretching back 643 minutes to a strike against Greece at Euro 2012.
Then Renato Sanches - who will be a team-mate of Lewandowski next season - levelled on 33 with a maiden goal for his country on his first start of the tournament.
The powerful playmaker picked up a pass from Nani and cut inside off the right before firing in with his left foot from the edge of the box, via a deflection off Grzegorz Krychowiak.
It was a deserved equaliser, with Cristiano Ronaldo having been denied a penalty two minutes earlier after being barged to the ground by defender Michal Pazdan.
Ronaldo's side continued to apply pressure after the break and Southampton full-back Cedric Soares fizzed just wide, while Real Madrid men Ronaldo and Pepe went close with headers.
Ronaldo then missed a brilliant chance to put Portugal ahead five minutes from time.
Substitute Joao Moutinho played a superb lofted ball over the Poland backline but Ronaldo barely made contact as the ball dropped over his shoulder.
And it ensured extra time for Portugal, having narrowly avoided it with their later winner against Croatia in the last 16.
Ronaldo then missed ANOTHER chance just a minute into extra time as he scuffed a chance from an Eliseu cross.
And that was about the sum of the excitement until just after the break when a supporter rushed onto the pitch and had to be rugby tackled as he got within metres Ronaldo.
Fortunately penalties provided at least some drama which the game desperately lacked over its 120 minutes.
Ronaldo netted the opening spot kick, with Lewandowski coolly firing home straight after him before Renato Sanches brilliantly blasted into the top corner.
Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik then rolled in to his left with sub Joao Moutinho going the same way seconds later.
Kamil Glik made it three in a row into the same corner as he fired home, before Nani checked his approach to the spot before going top right.
Blaszczykowski - who had fired in two crucial goals at the tournament - was then foiled by Rui Patricio as the Portugal goalkeeper guessed correctly by launching himself to his left.
Ricardo Quaresma clinched the win for the second game running as Lukasz Fabianski got his hand to the drilled effort but could only palm it into the roof of the net.
