Southampton close to completing record-breaking £15m move for Morrocan star Sofiane Boufal

SOUTHAMPTON are close to landing Lille star Sofiane Boufal in a club-record  £15million deal.

Saints have beaten Prem rivals Tottenham and Watford in the race for the Moroccan winger, 23.

Boss Claude Puel  had a £12.5m bid rejected by the French club but upped his offer after a  winless start to  the new season.

Boufal — rated one of the biggest prospects in Ligue 1 — will  be Puel’s fifth signing this summer.
