Tony Pulis faces showdown talks after snub by new West Brom owner Guochuan Lai
Future of Baggies boss is in the balance following his war of words with chairman John Williams over summer signings

TONY PULIS is set for showdown talks after a snub by new West Brom owner Guochuan Lai.
Pulis’ Hawthorns future is in the balance after a war of words with chairman John Williams.
Welshman Pulis has been at odds with Williams after insisting the club did not sign the players he wanted this summer, saying Hal Robson-Kanu was not one of his targets.
And in an official statement confirming the club’s takeover, Pulis was not mentioned by name.
Neither Lai nor outgoing chairman Jeremy Peace referred to the Albion boss.
Now Pulis wants to know what direction the club is heading in.
Pulis, whose contract is up at the end of the season, is demanding talks with the new regime and already has one eye on the January transfer window.
He said: “The Chinese are coming in so the club is being taken over.
“We’ll see what their vision is and what they want to do.
“The only way you move forward is by improving the squad.
